3D Special Stage Engine

I may be able to help out with some of the sprite work, if you want.

We'll see, I haven't decided if I'm going to rework the sprites or just use the original graphics in 3d.

  • Basic Sonic Abilities(Ring loss, Spin Dash, Rolling)
  • Basic Enemies + Zero Robot from Sonic Advance 2
  • Various HUD styles for the Special Stages
  • Rainbow Road test

Haven't released anything for this in a while so here's what I've got up to this point. Has everything the last video mentioned

Note:I pretty much know about the camera clipping and Sonic getting stuck on wall, I'm still trying to fix those.

Controls are the same:

A to jump, S to roll, D to bounce, Q & E to quickstep, Pageup & PageDown to scroll through levels.

Wall of Text:

In terms of status, I won't be releasing the GMK untill I fix some horrible bugs and optimise it the engine more as there are some occasions where the engine will have a huge frame rate drop or Sonic will fall through the floor. (Aka: While on a platform, Charge up a full spin dash and then release it when facing a wall.)

Also, I've decided to exclude the Racing elements due to them being out of the original scope. (Sorry Guys, I may add them in a later release but I want to focus on core engine features over misc features)

Hell, the original scope was meant to be a Sonic CD Special Stage Engine that was meant to be for my other game but I ended up turning it into a 3D platformer engine.

OK...I can't wait for the gmk release. I'm just wondering how I could import it into my own game. Gonna stop yapping and play this now.
