sonic321ish
Hi, first of all i would like to introduce myself, I'm sonic321ish, and i would like to get to know everyone here that i can. Now on to my question, i have been playing GDK for some time now, and I have seen some people on YouTube that made their own stages, and i was wondering how can I do that. Anyway, I would like to know what i have to do to design my own stage, or can i edit the one that came with GDK. If I am not clear enough on my question, please tell me and i will try to be more clear. Thanks.
luksamuk
I'm... pretty sure you'll have to model your level and add textures to it, with a 3D modeler. Sorry. Not an expert on 3D gaming. Never even modeled anything.
Techokami
You need the latest version of the Unreal Development Kit. It's completely freeware, but it's a rather large download. Get it here. As for making levels, well... I really don't know, but there should be plenty of documentation for creating and setting up level geometry. SonicGDK-specific stuff, refer to the kit's documentation and tutorials. You might find the two tutorials here useful. Hope this gets you in the right direction! VirtAnderson
Sheesh, how'd you get the test stage to work? It won't work for me. (In fact, Sonic GDK in itself won't work for me.)
Floofy
The system requirements are a bit steep. You should make sure you can run UDK first. :\
