Haruhi Suzumiya - Wendee Lee Mikuru Asahina - Stephanie_Sheh Yuki Nagato - Michelle Ruff Kyon - Crispen Freeman Itsuki Koizumi - Johnny Yong Bosch Ryouko Asakura - Bridget Hoffman Tsuruya-san - Kari Wahlgren Some of the voice actors have me scratching my head a bit, but I've been hearing that a lot of effort has been put into getting the dubs perfect (though I'm sure that's what they all say.) For example, I didn't know the person who did Albedo (from Xenosagas) did Straight Cougar (from s-CRY-ed). But actually, that makes a lot of sense. Anyway, every one of them, I can find a role that I liked them in. I don't know if they're fit for the Haruhi role (since I've never read nor watched any translations), but I know I've seen all of them do some good VA. As for what the series is, it's basically an anime about a bunch of high school kids, except one of them is really into the paranormal. Crazy things happen. You kinda have to watch it to get it. Please do yourself a favor and just watch the first two episodes on Youtube. And dont judge it by just the first episode alone because thats a huge mistake. It's a tough call, since all of the characters have lengthy dialogs at some point, which is where the bad acting is sure to make it unbarable... Can someone explain the series to me please? It's nearly impossible to explain the series without spoiling it. Basically, the title character is displeased with how boring the world is while being completely oblivious to the fact that the world is almost exactly the way she wishes it to be. The story is told in past/present tense from the point of view of a different character, who we only know as 'Kyon' (Not his real name). In other words, Kyon's is recounting his experience of the storyline, so his narratives have an omniscient feel to them even though Kyon the character doesn't know what's going on. (This is the most interesting aspect of the narrative, IMHO, and makes for many subtle moments) And anime is also not in chronological order, so you have the main story with some side-stories mixed in, but those side stories take place after the main story arc. Yea, when I showed my friends, we started at #2, then watched a couple, then I showed them #1. Also, the episodes are out of order. Then I realized something was up and finally figured it out... that was also the moment I became hooked and somewhat obsessed with the series. And Azu, I had the heart attack, but somehow I'm still alive, GO ME! And actually I SUCK at papercraft, so this is a no. Origami on the other hand is just fine. The program that runs them has a 3d model that you can move around with the mouse, and you can see how it all fits together, then the 2D printout on the side. I tend to get pretty confused about where things go sometimes, so I find that neat. I also just went and got Suiseiseki and Souseiseki papercrafts as PDOs too. I have a massive stash of papercrafts, though on my laptop. A full sonic and shadow one (I think), Link (Majora's Mask style), Wolf Link (brand new), the King of Red Lions, Vash's gun, a few others...
