  1. Decided to open up my old SonicCD engine and edit it into this. This is what I have been working on today. YAY FLASHY STUFF! By the way, if anyone asks, this is NOT SonicWorlds. This is my own engine built from a BARE build of the old MMF1 SonicEngine by Damizean from back in the day. I find it to be a bit more reliable than Somethings WorldsAlpha's engine has to offer (Bug issues). Only thing the engine actually came with was 360 movement on it's own.
  2. He's using Multimedia Fusion 2. While I'm here, I'll try answering the question. Bassically you'll need an ini file. This INI file will contain the data that feeds into your game of which you retrieve in the events. There are various tutorials on this though so you shouldn't have a problem finding out how to do it. The basic part of it is simple. GlobalValueA (GlobalScore?) Start of frame Set GlobalValueA to "String Item "GScore" Value) or something like that Then when that application ends you want to keep that score so you then write it to the INI file. End of Frame Write to .ini file at a specific spot. You'd probably have to make this happen after every act so it stores it each time. Try checking out these two: http://sonicfangameshq.com/view.php?sec=4&id=143 http://sonicfangameshq.com/view.php?sec=4&id=94 Hope this helped.
  3. It might be a specific version he uses or the way he used it maybe? I'm not really sure. As he said, He's probably going to remove it. Blaze, I'm pretty sure, since April fools is over. If you could release a normal demo without joystick2 for the rest of the members to play properly? Also, playing ACT3 now. I like the minor tweaks you've done they do make a difference. Even the small details such as the Spindash sound going higher in frequency each time.
  4. We were taking the piss because you said "Gonna bad his ass" instead of "Ban"
  5. Trust you to do what I wanted to do but chosen not to because fortunately I am not the "Grammar Nazi" around here
  6. This looks very interesting Hez. Nice work!
  7. My advice, learn to do all of those things or at least programming & spriting as they are basically what you need to start yourself off on a good project. You'll save yourself a lot of aggravation from others who you can't and shouldn't rely on for your project. Very rarely does a team effort actually work. But don't let that stop you from trying.
  8. What I can't get my head around is why didn't you just put all those years of work to use in this new project and build from TFH's engine? I mean, you're obviously perfectly capable of making an entire engine on your own. You've proved this multiple times over.
  9. Alright, for anyone having trouble playing this here is how you get rid of that joystick2.mfx error. 1. Download this latest version of DirectX9 2. See if it works now. Reason it doesn't work: Something to do with the .NET framework (or something similar) not being installed on the computers on which it doesn't work. Joystick2 object needs a specific version of a DirectX DLL to be installed on the user's machine. Hope this solves anyone problems. @Blaze: Didn't you start this project with the very first build of SonicWorlds, SonicWorlds0.1 ? @DW: Yeah, I remember pointing it out to you . Also, thanks for the info.
  10. Ahahaha, wait what? Edit: Dem default SonicWorlds sprites. OH GAWD. Oh shit Modern Sonic was a nice surprise. I like the way you pulled that off. Very nice work with that. EditEdit: This is the second time I've seen this problem in any form of SonicWorlds. I'm guessing nobody has tried fixing it yet? Maybe adjust the top sensor for knuckles specifically?
  11. I'm not downloading it, just because of the date and location of the screenshot you showed which is NOT in /saphire/
  12. Ah, well thanks for clearing that up USC.
  13. Huh, I didn't know ProSonic was dead. Do you happen to know why?
  14. Oh, like so you change something and it globally affects all engine frames? How efficient! . Speaking of engines, I really should work some more on mine haha.
  15. I was only saying that assuming you wanted to keep things tight and pristine compared to the classical games. (As most people try). The ball animation in any of the classics or the modern Sonic4 never rotates ever. It's not a major issue though. You're engine is awesome as it is without this minor tweak.
  16. Here you go Blaze Oh by the way, Gamerdude/Rael. I see you still haven't made it so Sonic's ball sprite doesn't rotate with the angle yet in the engine?
  17. So I guess the first thing I could do is neaten these up a bit maybe and do a few touchups?
  18. I don't mind giving it a shot. I've been meaning to get back into it for a while now.
  19. Blue Emerald, did you do that grass yourself?
  20. This was one of the main ones back on 2006/2007 I especially got excited in anticipation for every SAGE. All I can say is, looks sexy. I want to play it NOW and I am so happy it is back!
  21. Actually it looks a lot like I should be seeing Mickey mouse or Kirby.
  22. Needs some polishing up but I like those additions you've done so far. Keep it up .
