  1. @Ila Real mature You know Midiman agreed with me, this whole thing is just stupid and elitist. Why do you guys care? Do you feel somehow threatened by him? Honestly, it's pathetic for you to even waste your time on this. It's like a 6th grader telling a kindergardener that his fingerpainting sucks. Gimmie a break guys. Maybe if you really had nobel intentions, you would've pm'd him first instead of trying to embarrass him.
  2. @SSB I personally like it alot, it's not a design desktop really, but more for perception. I look at it and feel very calm and yet in wonder. Very cool.
  3. Guys, guys, who the hell cares? Do you guys have nothing better to do then stop the mindless hype of an overly ambitious fan project? Who's to say it'll fail anyways? It's like the negativity police over here. I mean, I didn't read all of those LONG ASS ramblings on there to see if maybe he was comparing himself to other amazing projects which somehow deemed you guys worthy of kicking him down a few pegs, but geez. You gotta let people have dreams sometimes, let them learn from their own mistakes instead of destroying their careless ambition.
  4. If you already know what needs to be done and how to go about doing it, it's just a typing game. >=D
  5. Designing large is in. "Smaller" fonts are a thing of the past for webdesign. Now if only this was made Silverlight, then you'd REALLY be living on the curve of technology. My only beef with this latest design is that the sprites look stretched out pretty badly. It could just be the res on the screenshot is not scaled correctly, but from what I see it looks very ugly and contrasts the high res text in a bad way.
  6. I actually toured Valve a few months back and saw the demos of this, really amazing. Not just the game either, Valve is like the best game dev company to work at on earth.

  8. Took like a full day to d/l the game off steam, but WOW. They weren't kidding about those water effects. The presentation value is just other worldly and the encounters with resident psychopaths keeps me at the edge of my seat, constantly! I dunno that it's "better" than HL2 at this point, but it is seriously cool.
  9. I hardly see how my guess was ignorant or foolish, I had clearly stated observations that supported them. @Rael I LOVE Elfen Lied, great bg.
  10. It's a little heavy, I think this type of pattern would be better suited: / / / / /
  11. True, but I thought everyone "didn't care" about such things. << They say Adult Link is also near middle, but the best player in Japan wins nearly every tournament as him. It's sometimes strange to see what pure skill and technique can conquer in a game with so many "standards".
  12. Super awesome desktop DW! I can't tell what the os is, but I'd guess vista since it has the corresponding windows icons in the toolbar and the gadgets to the left.
  13. Very visually attractive, complex interface, varied gameplay... this looks to be a great title!
  14. Hey, nice midi btw. Sounds like classic Sonic. I love it.
  15. EDIT: Forget it, I had some minor points, but it doesn't matter.
  16. Sounds like a great endeavor! I only wish I could be part of it somehow, unfortunately my life is geared elsewhere, but I wish you guys good luck, that's going to be a heck of a lot of fun!
  17. The general appearance(windowed) and performance is like that of a MMF2 game though, so I would lean toward the idea that they aren't using C++. Not saying C++ is really "all-stop for the best thing ever", XNA is FANTASTIC and uses C#(I highly recommend that to everyone now actually). But there's definately noticable differences in speed and performance when one uses C++ over a gamemaking program.
  18. Click manage attachments, then browse and add them. Pretty simple, but next time you have a question you should pm a mod.
  19. Already preordered the PC version along with a new dual core cpu, JUST for this game. XD
  20. A truly nerdy desktop there alaQ!
  21. Yeah you can lazerwhip the sides of most terrain and hang there. This also works with Link/YLink's hookshot.
  22. Surprised by the Vista supporters.
