  1. I'll say it again, if we don't have the power to actually DO something, we can't do anything at all. The only option is to voice our ideas, if I had the power, I would've reshaped this place a long time ago. (That and coding knowledge, I would leave that to someone else.)
  2. I agree, I remember when he started on the website thing, he asked for someone to make a website design, the person who volunteered started work on it, never finished, and Smidge ended up doing the work himself. That upset me as well. You see, the thing is with that, we are very VERY limited to what we can do, we had a whole thing of ideas and whatnot, but the fact is, we didn't have the power to do anything. I wanted to make a chill-out forum and whatnot, and others wanted to update the main site, but we can't do anything if it's out of our hands. That would be my job, however, I was waiting for the last submission pack I sent you to get put on the main site before going on with the new stuff.
  3. I won't disagree fully with that, but I remember having sent you some stuff via .rar file because the file transfer thing I was originally using suddenly stopped connecting to your server. I can't remember what I had sent you, but I think it was a good amount of stuff in there. This was awhile back though, so I dunno if it was uploaded or not. Plus, there are some stuff in the submission zone now, I'm not sure if it has been processed yet, but yea... Yea, I noticed, which I thought was cool, but as slinger said, people think we're dead. I dunno, maybe when the next SAGE comes around, that'll change. *shrugs* Anyways, I was just checking to see if there was still any progress on that, I got my answer it seems. :I
  4. No shit. My question is are we gonna continue what we've started, or not?
  5. I remember around in late 07, I think either before or after SAGE, we had a very serious, but civil topic about how to improve the site, community and whatnot. After that, we started to get things in gear: Smidge started working on a new site, which imo, went successfully, and we were planning ways on making the forum a more comfortable place for the new people; I think along the lines of making a chillout forum, and making the main site more active, via uploading more shit to the main site. Things seemed to be going ok....but then afterwards, no word on further progress has been seen, and it looked like we were going back to not doing anything....again. I was gonna say something about it (I think I even made a topic asking about the progress, I forget), but I thought it was just a temporary pause, and I also admit that I was caught up in other things to care about it....such as my so-called "departure" from this community. I think it's been long enough to finally ask: "What's the status on this "Site overhaul"? We talked about it so seriously in that topic, and even had some progress...but it just stopped. Don't tell me we've given up just as we were getting the ball rolling, I still think this place needs IMPROVEMENT. I mean come on, is that stuff in the submission forum even GOING through the procession phase? I think it's time to get the ball rolling again, I know I said I left this place due to frustration, but you know what? Fuck it, I've learned too much from this place to just leave. I'm very grateful of SFGHQ and blah blah blah and I'm here to stay.....sorta. So seriously....are we going back to work, or let our ideas die...again? =\ I would also like to resign my status as Site Maintainer and Submission Forum Mod, I'm not active anymore, and I think someone else (I think DW requested it before) who IS active, should take the job, I'm very fine with being just a regular member here.
  6. EDIT: Slinger pretty much nailed it. Please watch what you say. HB, Sonicdude.
  7. Hey guys, does this thread include pixel art? If not, it does now:
  8. Played it too, you guys are screwed. =P
  9. I deleted it to not get involved, but really, toes in a computer help topic? Come on, really.
  10. I looked it up, it's a driver that comes with Daemon tools also. I've read that it has the possibility to mess up and give you problems similar to what I had just out of the blue, for no reason. I'm not installing virtual drives again. Well, basically I used my recovery disc to wipeout everything on my HD, sptd.sys was gone, and I could get to my desktop again. But for some reason, it proceeded with the same problem I started out with. So, once again, I recovered to get to my Desktop. Afterwards I updated my BIOS (Old one was version 1.10, now 1.30) and it's working fine now. I dunno, maybe it was just my BIOS that needed fixing instead of the sptd.sys, but my BIOS hasn't been updated for awhile, and it never gave me a problem before. *Shrugs*
  11. Haha, then yea, maybe it's time that I did get a new HD. =P @Epon: I'll try that now just for the hell of it, thanks.
  12. If my HD is indeed damaged, I'm not sure how the hell that could've happened. I had this laptop for 4 years going on 5 soon, and it never gave me this type of problem before aside from yearly spyware and virus attacks, which I got rid with simple tools or recovery. But that's not really my laptop's fault, it's more like me being a lazy bastard to get new virus protection software. I'm also sure I didn't do anything physical that would damage it. Personally, I think it's time that I ditched this laptop and gotten me a new one, but I can't afford one atm.
  13. Well, before I did that, I tried updating my BIOS, it seems to be working fine now, I restarted it like 2 times to be sure, and I can now get to my desktop without problems. However, I don't trust my pc anymore, so I'm gonna set up a back-up just incase that bullshit happens again and run a disc diagnostic to make sure it isn't damage. Thanks again, guys.
  14. Get this; after wiping my hard drive back to factory settings, I restarted my pc and got stuck in the same bullshit process AGAIN! This time, sptd.sys was not present (atleast I don't think so), but it wouldn't let me load up windows again! I had to once again use the recovery disc to get to my desktop. I don't know what is going on, but I'm now scared SHITLESS to restart my pc again, which is bad, because sooner or later, it's gonna require just that. Is this a HD failure or something? I have no fucking clue what's going on, should I run 'Check Disc for errors'? I don't really want to because that would also require me to restart my pc.
  15. I'm gonna take USC's advice and just do a full system recovery. I saved what I could on my HD. Thank you guys, and thanks for that info DW. Rep to both of you. I'll see you guys around.
  16. Ok, it started around 3 hours ago, my computer was running kinda slow and stuff (a game I was playing seemed to freeze and skip, which was NOT normal.), so I decided to restart it to see if that would fix the problem. After doing so, it brought me to that menu where I'd have to either select Start in Safe mode, Start windows Normally, etc. Ok, no problem, however, no matter how many times I did it, it would NOT LOAD UP WINDOWS! It kept bringing me back to that menu where I've must've selected every starting option there. I noticed before it brings me back, a blue screen shows up with text that seems to alert me to some error, however, it disappears so damn fast I don't have the chance to even read the first sentence. I got my digital camcorder and record it before it had a chance to disappear, then played it back in slo-mo (absolutely ridiculous) and it says something about: the error seems to be caused by a file named: sptd.sys I don't know what that is, is it important, or is it a virus? Either way, I cannot even get into my desktop to fix it because my pc won't let me. Please, someone help me, I'm using someone elses computer right now, and I'm not happy about it, I'd really appreciate some help. Thank you. =\ EDIT: Yes, I am very much willing to wipe out my Hard drive if needed, but like I said, I can't even get to my desktop to do it.

Sorry larkSS, been busy lately with work and among other things. *cough*PSU*cough* I'll check in with ya soon though.
  18. Who the fuck said that I WANTED people to beg me to stay? If you think I'm attention-whoring, you are FAR from right sir.
  19. NO WHORES, I'M TEH REAL BLAZEFIYAH! caps But since we're on the subject, why are people still replying to a banned members topic? (That turned out to be "it"?)
  20. EDIT: W/e, a rant isn't gonna change anything.
  21. You're right, I don't have to stay, I don't plan to, because you, among with others, just keep proving me right on the original reason as to why I left, and I for DAMN sure don't want to be apart of a community where you can't speak your opinions freely without being ridiculed for it.
  22. Is it so fucking wrong to post thoughts of a game? I guess only if it's good, right? Yet alot of you always bitch about the new Sonic games, yet if someone enjoyed it, you guys go into attack mode. This is what I hate about these forums, people can't express one's opinion without being ridiculed for it. You all keep fucking forgetting a very important thing: It's just an opinion; opinions DOES NOT EQUAL FACT! God, I am SO SICK of it, seriously. This place is never gonna change.
