I guess it sounds like a lot but everything barring the tv was less than $20 a pop

I'd guess the best solution would be to make it so that if Sonic is overlapping the platform when his jump peaks, don't make it solid? From what I can get looking at that code, maybe some psuedocode would help explain it better: Assuming that place_meeting returns 0 if false and 1 if true, I haven't used Game Maker ever and am just guessing what the code might look like if (place_meeting(argument0, argument1, objPlatform)=0) and (y_speed>=0) objPlatform.Solidity==1; if (place_meeting(argument0, argument1, objPlatform) && objPlatform.Solidity>=0 ) return true; I don't know though, this might cause some other glitchiness.

1A) browse different spritesheet hosting sites 2A) come across a character and go "hey I should make a fangame with him" OR 1B) doodle silly characters 2B) pick one and go "hey I should make a game with him" THEN 3) make a game engine 4) make a level or so, depending on what constitutes a level 5) find and fix a game-breaking bug 6) apply it to all levels THEN 7A) decide that I want to add a new concept (optional) 8A) can't think of anything to add 9A) start playing other games to give me ideas 10A) project is never touched again OR 7B) decide to scale back my plans 8B) patch together a couple more levels 9B) release finished minigame I've never finished anything with more than three levels except for RAGE games which are usually copy-paste jobs anyway

No force feedback, sadly. Dad got the cheapest one they had way back when he got it so he could play some racing games with it. Although I've got two controllers that have force feedback support, so I could check that. (technically it's an adapter for PS2/GC controllers, but whatever)

Is Sonic supposed to be standing on the water's surface? That background there looks really good, but if it's being used as a foreground, I might go with something different. I kinda can't tell from that screenshot.

force feedback chairs? that sounds like something used while looking at porn Personally, I think you might as well have as many options as you can get, possibly with a way to disable parts in the code if needed.

I want to see him add a bit of--I'm not sure how to say it; depth? scenery?--to his videos. I mean, it looks nice and all, but the platforms are basically ripped from S3&K and given a static depth, and I'd really like to see a bit of actual depth; I guess the closest thing I can compare it to would be the 2D sections in Sonic Unleashed, where there's actually stuff modeled back there or something. It's really hard to explain.
