  1. The only thing that bugs me about those screenshots is the red HUD. It attracts too much attention. You don't really need it; the oldschool score, time, rings would do fine on their own.
  2. I suggest you change the water, the smoke effects and the rings. That way it would be less apparent that you are using the SV2 engine. It would also give it a slightly more fresh appearance.

  5. It was better before. I don't like the orange you're using for the ground in the newer version. The previous version was calmer somehow.
  6. Nice, but it lacks some development in my opinion. It goes on and on without really breaking loose. Felt like a prelude to something, but to what, I never got to hear. When the guitars started charging near the end I thought that it was finally going to evolve, but instead, the song ended.

  8. I'm quite proud of something, I managed to get 95.12% on difficulty 6 - Trip to the moon. I'm on the list =], 4th place.

  14. There's something I've been wondering for some time now. I've read some stuff saying that XBOX Live games will be playable on both XBOX 360 and Windows Vista. So my question is, will Sonic the Hedgehog be playable on Windows Vista since it's going to be on XBOX Live Arcade? Hopefully someone will be able to answer this. It has disrupted my sleep for too long =p.

  16. I always use an object called 'parallax' or something at a very high depth. It draws all I want it to, even primitives. It's my slave. Right, you're better off using something like that anyway, as Damizean said.
  17. Ah, the crapiness of that level hurts. Good engine though. Maybe you should consider slowing down the speed with which the camera moves in front of you at higher speeds. It's a bit annoying when it does that back and forth. The problem you have with the parallax is that you're positioning it before you position the view. Set the position of the view after you've moved Sonic and then reposition the parallax layers according to it. All this should happen before the drawing events are executed.
  18. Nice Mario engine Blaze. Regarding the special stage video, I find the 3D effect on the passing objects to be a bit odd. Might just be the crappyness of the compression though.
  19. Right, if you made that, then you did a good job. It plays excactly as the one on the site.
