  1. yeah, my nit-picking aside, if you're comfortable with it, go for it. i just offered a suggestion, but other peoples opinions will be different, and you can only please everyone to a certain extent. have a rep on the house for your troubles
  2. i'm not sure what you mean with the race controls, but i'm thinking of how that would control on the tight 'strip-levels' we currently have, which dont really work with wide turns. however, i like the speed modifier button idea, making the game that bit more tactical, choosing whether to go all out and get the best time, or going a bit slower to make sure yo get there in one piece. i'm guessing, thinking in terms of controllers, this would probably be mapped to a triger button. The trick idea is good, giving a reason for using both analogue sticks
  3. i think we must be really confusing hat poor chap =P hmm, would it be easier to have the shadows as an alpha layer beneath the grass, so it is slightly transparent and shows the rock underneath? i think it would definatly look better anyway, and would work for any surface you put it on
  4. the right idea, but now the grass itself looks completely different from before, and doesn't sit well on the rocks. if you do what you did with them to the ones you showed first, you'll be on to a winner
  5. looks nice, but i reckon it's going to warrent an obligitary rael grass shadow comment, as it looks like its justed pasted on top there. i like the syle though. awsome video blaze, the tags made me lol
  6. make it glow! loving the depth of field blurryness going on, feels so next gen and shiny
  7. im still yet to figure out how to activate chaos attacks. have you put in the DBZ QTE ones in yet?
  8. for the red, can't you just have a layer ontop that colours anything red that goes under it, similar to underwater effects, instead changing the actual colour of the sprite each time? since i assume it's supposed to simulate going into a room with red light. kinda like the way you can see through the explosions of blazehegehog's recent games, but applied to a larger scale...if you get what i mean.
  9. enemy territory? it was always one of favourites, and it's completely free, and will run on pretty much any machine http://www.splashdamage.com/?q=node/57& (the one on the right)
  10. this website has an overview of some storage options, and of course a fuck-ton of homebrew which you can put onto said device: http://nintendo-ds.dcemu.co.uk/ the panel on the left should have most of the stuff you want in a relatively easy to find format
  11. huzzah! D/Ling now EDIT: 1 bug so far, i got shot by the first eggpawn on the bottom of the 2nd stage, and this error message popped up: (i meant to get the whole screen, but it turns out alt-prntscn only does that box - my bad) i pressed ignore and carried on playing, went back to the pawn that caused the error and got a CTD
  12. a router should be enough, i have a similar setup, but with the router we have 4 computers hooked up simultaneously through both wired and wireless. how do you conect? is it through a modem of sorts? i'm not sure how cable works
  13. it's called parallax, i imagine there's a tutorial for it on the main website, or in the help forum EDIT: such as here: http://sonicfangameshq.com/view.php?sec=4&id=51 and here: http://sonicfangameshq.com/view.php?sec=4&id=48
  14. they look great, but you should take it as a compliment that we feel that we want to suggest ways that you may improve them, instead of going, say, "OMG that's shit, i don't know why you even bother". as i said before, they're really well done, I'd just consider flattening his head out a bit. With Ironrind, his art is good, but his actual style is crazy, and quite unique, so there's not much to compare it to in the way of critique and such. Turn that frown upside down man! you know when you release it the shit is going to hit the fan either way
  15. sereph, i wasn't saying it was uncanon, not good enough to be official or anything, just that the lump was distractingly huge. its even more exaggerated than the artwork you showed, blaze, but it's fine as it is if it's too much bother to go back and change it
  16. the lump on knuckles' head looks a tad weird, you may want to flatten it out a bit, lookin good otherwise
  17. i will admit, the e-mail section was pretty lulz when you were reading it (great captions), but the last part seemed a bit...'forced'(?) i dunno, good stuff anyway
  18. he said there were some in the news post, but they arn't in the links. may have been an administrative cock-up
  19. i have to say my first delve into vista which i took recently, (last week as a matter of fact) has been relatively successful, and for the most part, pretty much the same as XP with a couple of nice addons. thats mainly because i spent a good hour or so when i first got it going through and disabling all the crap and such, but now it's working fine. oh and that a i have a bit of beast of a system to run it on, which always helps (q6600+8800gt) http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=2238
  20. the mind-taker thing sounds awesome from the preview, with the 'clear your mind' stuff going on and the way it reacts to your emotions
  21. is that...a space marine drop pod in there?
  22. deja-vu? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McCarthyism seriously, what do they take their own country for?
  23. !!!! i remember that, awsome sauce. my favourite one with the one with the stripes and the skates. oh, the folly of youth
  24. wait rael...is this the original sonic zero you were talking about? http://sonicfangameshq.com/view.php?sec=1&id=68 are you being sarcastic?
  25. looks nice, but the sum of the parts is less impressive. your style is inconsistent, especially the bits with black outlines, they clash with other areas of the background and with sonic. Your windows are assymetrical, and IIRC from that angle they shouldn't be, but they look off nonetheless. the second 'side' of your buildings have the bricks sloping down at too much of an angle, try flattening them out a bit, same with you pyramird on a stick things, the angle is really wierd, not to mention they are really bland compared with the rest of your stuff. a good start, but needs a bit of polish
