  1. Thanks for reporting. The errors in the console and the black screen are all because of the OpenGL version. I'll try to do a compatibilty version, even though, I don't think your graphics card can handle the game ...
  2. @Core The problem is that tha game can't launch full screen game mode. I will add a windowed mode support. To check your OpenGL version you can download this: http://www.realtech-vr.com/glview/extensions.html The Level editor thing sounds really strange as it seems works fine in my PC. I'll take a look into it. It's probably a pathing issue in .NET framework of windows XP. Anyway thanks for reporting EDIT: Ok i've tried to do a small fix for those bugs. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/50837621/bsf-hotfix.rar Now the game should run in windowed mode if fullscreen is not supported. If you see graphics error, that means that your OpenGL version is prior to 3.3 (you can try to update your graphics card drivers). Try the level editor and tell me if those pathing issues are solved.

  6. I like it Very nice level design, in particular Relic Retreat background is really really well done. Now, stupid question time: I downloaded the demo from the website, which is sage 08, so I assume an older one. Is there a way to put it in full screen, or enlarge the window?

  14. I'll think about changing the game title! Thanks man Well, the levels now can be build very easily with the editor, which will come with the first release. Then it will be an open project, and everyone can contribute and build their own levels. Anyway, it would be nice to use the algorithm of the original Blue Sphere game. At the moment I'm trying to figure out if this is doable.

  16. Well, basically, I already developed the level editor, I needed it to build all the 7 original stages of Sonic 3. For now, it can do these things: 1) create a custom stage (ie placing red and blue spheres, bumpers and rings where you want) 2) select to texture and the bump map to apply to to floor 3) select the color of the emerald you get 4) .. don't have other ideas for now Anyway, I need to work on it, because it is written in C++ and the UI is nearly impossible to use if you are not the programmer

  18. Hi all, this is my first Sonic fan game and it's a remake of the Sonic 3/S&K special stage. The engine is written from the ground in C++/OpenGL. It is almost complete, but I would like to release it when it's all done, including a level editor. For now, i've made a little gameplay trailer: Any suggestions/constructive criticism are welcome Enjoy! EDIT: - just a little update... I've rewritten the level editor in C# (aka "the noob language"). It seems to work So most likely Blue Spheres Levels can be rebuilt http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/4665/sectiondecoder.jpg - I've decoded all the data. All the original blue spheres level are available by typing their 12-digit codes - Added support for interlaced stereoscopic 3D. It works on my screen (hp 2311gt), which is a passive 3d fpr monitor. If someone has 3d screen, I wuold like them to test and see if it works.
