  1. That looks awesome, Chronic. That fight sure has an interesting air around it. I'm guessing that if you fall off the platform, there's no return? Anyway, I'm facing a bit of a crisis. I'm trying to see if either the Advance-style sprites or the Genesis-style sprites I have compare/clash with my first zone's tileset. What do you guys think?
  2. Use Dash+. It's a highly advanced engine that is based upon the old DASH engine. The link for it is HERE. Of course, it's pretty useful and provides explanations for a lot of stuff. Once you get used to the coding style, it's easy.
  3. Awesome job mang. I'm serious. Whilst the shop system adds a very unique income to the game, it can be a bit tedious getting the rings to buy everything. Then again, that may just be me. Performance of the characters are very fluent, and allows you to string combos together. I adore the emblem and Music Galleries. I like how it feels more and more like an actual game. I did, however, see one glitch in the system: if you go to story select, and push up on the first mission, it gives an error. It doesn't, however, stop the game from working. Just pointing that out. I give this a 10/10. Awesome work!

  5. Despite it being bland as all-fuck, I decided to take a screenshot of the graphics test for my game. Yeah. I'm serious, everything except the background is either fully custom or an edit of something else. Edits: The font (SA3), the background (Rush Adventure) and Sonic himself (SA1-3) Custom: The tileset. While the scenery will be edits, the tileset itself is bonafide (I believe that is the correct term...) custom by moi.

  7. Hey. I opened up GraphicsGale an' messed with the Sonic 2 sprite. ...I came up with this. [insert attachment here] I actually have no plans to use it for any of my games (mainly 'cause I'm working on another one besides this one), so what do you guys think?
  8. Well, that would be nice. I'm contemplating weather or not to use the tileset I'm making right now. I've been working and perfecting on it for about two months now. Of course, I'm gonna use said tileset in my own game, but I'm just kinda jammed right now on if I should use it or not.
  9. Well, Chronic, I could take a shot at at least one of those levels. I'll take another shot at a tileset for mine. (It would be just the tileset, not a background, cause I suck at backgrounds...)

  11. Well, it'll be Tuesday at least. I have them saved on my school's computer. I'll ask my WebMastering teacher to pull them and email them to me. I based it off of GHZ, how obvious.
  12. That's sexy, man. *shot* Well, not much is wrong with it, I have to say. Well, if you count Knuckles wierd shimmy animation that is, but that can be fixed easily. Wait... Well, I just found one. I was testing the Super-properties and I was playing as Tails. I was super and I had hit a shield. It somehow changed the hue from yellow to blue. Ummm, might wanna fix that. I haven't managed to get the angled shimmies to work, but we'll be fine without them. Besides, their not Genesis-like. I've been working on a tileset for a while, but I don't have it ready yet. Shall I PM it to you when I think it's ready, Chronic?
  13. I'm unemployed, but I do chores. I get $10 a week. I have a different chore every week, be it dishes, trashduty, mowing(like there's anything to mow in Texas with this damn drought...), or sweeping/dusting. Wee. Well, recently I sent an application to my local Jack in the Box. I only really tend to do that just to waste time until I turn 17. Then I'll probably end up looking elsewhere since I can work elsewhere at 17. I'm not entirely comfortable doing fast food work, if you catch my drift.
  14. I think you should include Tails' flying into the list of actions that hurt the boss, but then again, it would be tricky getting it to work right, masks maybe? Aside from that(but still on bosses), you should also do an example where the boss has a mask, like Oil Ocean's boss. Yeah, I agree with not jumping the gun. We should hammer the physics and everything down before we start on it. Then we can include gimmicks that level designers need for their levels. IDK, maybe a little group dedicated to assisting (protip: NOT making) people with their gimmickry.
  15. Ehh, I screwed around with that shimmy code for a while. I mananged to extend the bar to a custom length, but it only works half the time, but it was fun. I'm don't think it's addable-yet, just because it has some small code changes. I've got a theory. I'm gonna try implementing sloped shimmies. And I'm also gonna try putting gravity on these slopes, so that if you go down one, you'll get there faster, and going up slows your progress. I'll also see what I can do to add jumping to said bars. I really like the progress that has been made. I'm sure we'll make one hell of a collab, don'tcha think?

  17. Narrator, yeah. Sounds cool. Well, I have a mic(built into my laptop), so perhaps I could take a crack at narrating.
  18. Awesome pixel-art Chronic. EDIT: Also, you should fix the glitch where if you go to character select (the pre-made one), and then press back, it'll trigger an error. EDIT2: Got rid of the attachment and everything attached to it.
  19. Well, I could work on my own custom one instead. I'll try it. XG had flaws, yea. But the visuals were stunning. Implementing those blue trampolines? Awesome.
  20. Well, I could take a shot at it. I recall Worlds' tileset being the loopy pixel-set. Here, I'll bite. Of course, it's a beta. Of course, I'll try learning Damizean's style of coding so I can help make this project even better. Also, I'll be willing to try and do tilesets. Just throwin' that out there. and should we also try and do our own edits of Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles for it?
  21. I love how this is turning out. And if it get's to the point where we have a shot at a full-scale collab, I'll be willing to help and stuff. Also, I'll try and take a crack at the test level tiles. I think I have something like it somewhere on my hard drive... @JetHawk Happy Birthdayz, man.
  22. Holy shit. That looks amazing. I honestly can't wait to play this game. It looks fun and enjoyable. Of course, that's the goal of games, is it not. @Delta I feel the black sole suits him better. Not having it just kinda rubs me the wrong way.

  24. Your problem exists because you have to set a variable for Shadow, most times, they use numbers to define variables. So just choose the one after Knuckles and you should be okay.
  25. Mecha Tails, huh? Sounds neat. I can't wait to see how it'll turn out. Of course, you think that that Doll is a creepy thing, imagine playing as him all-the-time as a child. Yes. I had Sonic R as a kid and played as the Tails Doll all the time. I personally can't wait to see how it'll turn out.
