  1. Excellent. I completed the game with Sonic and collected all chaos emeralds. I really liked your level designs, music and the bosses were really cool. The final boss looked cool and looked really hard but I managed. The only problems I noticed were that it was kind of easy to get to special stages. Like Jwiwo said, after you complete/exit out of one the warp still remains and you can continuously jump in. I was able to collect five emeralds using one lamp post. Also, there is an incredibly annoying lag that appears when you use super Sonic. After loosing your rings the lag is still present until you die or complete the act. All in all, really fun and had this feel of a Sega CD game which made it even better. I'm going to play through again with Tails and Knuckles tonight. Very good, Vexer. I enjoyed Axiom as much as I thought I would.
  2. I'm glad to hear this is an original piece of art for the game we're talking here. I'd give him a bit of a smirk too, but hey it's your work not mine.
  3. Hmm...Give the right ear more thickness around the edge, smooth around the face part where the mouth is, put the nose in front and kind of make the shoes look like they aren't awkwardly flat and you got yourself one hell of a picture. Honestly, it's a great start at something awesome but some people don't realize it and have to be a total jerk. Nobody can be as talented on their first try like you think you would think you are, Pedro. Sorry I sounded like a hard ass man but I just read your criticism and it was just turrable. All in all, I can't wait to see the finished product. Great stuff on a early try, Jet. Keep it up.
  4. Actually, you nailed it on the head. That's exactly why. It just doesn't fit right to me. EDIT: Sky Sanctuary looks amazing. Much better than what I thought it was going to look like.
  5. The ARK shot looks fucking gorgeous. I also don't like the way they made the giant "Egg Mech" thing.
  6. Oh, bummer dude. What happened to those cool spin slash animations? Anyway, great job on the sprites and I don't think I mentioned but this game gets my vote on best original HUD. Nice stuff there.
  7. @Chronic: Kind of reminds me of a Wisp Planet type deal, just at night. Very nice. I can't wait to see more.
  8. I'm not sure about that eye color. In the third sprite his eye looks weird compared to the others.
  9. Or, what you could do is make some of the blocks in the tile indented. Also, that mock shot has a really cool looking monitor. It reminds me of a cross between Sonic 3's and Knuckles Chaotix ones.
  10. Ooh, there's Shadow. That will be excellent. Also, the grass is my favorite part.
  11. @Delta: Haha, neither do I but it would be cool to try and squeeze in for the demo. That is if you're able to but if you don't want to that's all good under the hood. @DNL: I've seen him around another board or two, not that one, a while ago and this is the one site where he makes the most conversation. EDIT: @Delta: I'm also curious as of what kind of enemies will appear in Shimmering Hill. Like if they're going to be remakes or custom. Either way, you should show one or two.
  12. I think the banner looks good the way it is. It's what makes it different from any other fan game or main line game for that matter. The color should be how he likes it. By the way, @Delta: Do you have a specific intro planned out? I noticed because I'm going to be doing something very similar with Sonic Grand Prix. I think you should totally do something like have it start on Earth and like maybe the intro can just show opening credit like things like the SEGA logo while the screen is moving up into space and have the ring/banner and Sonic kind of fade in. But whatever works for you, I'm just saying it would be cool since the space background is similar to what I might do so I figured why not share the wealth. Hopefully that idea made sense to you and I didn't word anything wrong. Also, is (I'm sorry I don't remember the name of your first stage) going to be the only stage appearing in your demo? Sorry about the long post. Keep it real and excellent.
  13. That's actually a good guess. I wouldn't have guessed it.
  14. Windy Valley? Possibly the act 1 of the non HD version of Windmill Isle? (Only because the sky kind of did look like that.)
  15. I know I'm a little late on this but that is excellent work there. I like this a lot.
  16. Very nice, Overbound. The clouds remind me of Sonic Crackers.
  17. Cool background. I like the colors that I can see. And the clouds. Excellent work.
  18. Oh my. I like the title screen Sonic. Very nifty. I'm also still waiting to see that spin dash in animation. Although, I can't help but think that it needs just a touch of smoothing. Either way, it looks awesome.
  19. The Taxman's RSN HUD looks good in GDK. I'm not sure if it's just me but the numbers in the HUD kind of look blurry around the edges.
  20. I've done it a few times. It gets kind of frustrating at the fifth special stage. The seventh isn't all that hard but I get distracted by the background. That is the reason why I can't beat the sixth. I've done this only so I didn't have to go back to get the good futures.
  21. Yeah, like every time I play Sonic CD I feel like I'm forced to obtain a perfect game. Sometimes Wacky Workbench can be a pain if you don't know the right paths to take for, you know, going 88 miles per hour. Metallic Madness is the worst. My dad actually put where to find the good paths for time travel in the instruction booklet back in the day. Sometimes, I break it out. The worst is playing Sonic CD on a Sega CD where the audio is kind of weird. Like the stage music is kind of low, the jumping is OK but the main thing is the time travel spiel where it blows your god damn ear drums out. All in all, it's great to see I can finally make some space and sell my Sega CD. Sonic CD was the only thing that was making me keep it. I know Gems Collection had it but I live by this philosophy that if I already own the game/product it would be pointless to buy another version. Especially knowing that I also own Sonic R and have a Game Gear emulator for Triple Trouble. The best is that the emulator is on a Gamecast.
  22. Eh, it wasn't really garbage. I'm quite a fan of Episode 1 myself. Although, I think they should've just left Sonic CD alone. Time travel should be left out of Episode 2 if that's what they're thinking. Time travel sucks. (Don't worry, Overbound, I'm still looking forward to Time Twisted.)
  23. Looks interesting. Any ideas on what stage this will appear in?
