  1. I know that, I would keep the scrolling, I just meant to work with the backgrounds a bit.
  2. Nice. I'm looking forward to your continued development. I don't know if it's much help, but you can see my menu here: The video is really blurry, but it shows you the effects in the background. Here's a screencap. The details and alpha effects help make the menu fun to look at. If you need some help with design I could try and make something for you to work with.
  3. I like your gameplay, but the menus need work, they look like they function fantastically, but they could use some better colors. It might be a good idea to change the life icon when sonic goes super. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes. Nice. If you don't mind my asking, what did you record this with?

  5. I actually sped the footage up because of how bad the framerate was. I need something better to record things with...
  6. I'm bad at making trailers. And having blurry footage doesn't help I'm working on Spring cages now; you have to defeat the enemies around it to open them and use the springs inside.

I should just put instructions on the menu that tells people how to turn off sticky keys... :\ Soon I'm going to allow you to switch control schemes, but until then, you should probably turn off sticky keys. In other news, I've made some animated springs and launchpads. What did you think of the menus? I spent a bit of time designing those. Is there anything you would add to them?

  12. It's been a while. Anyways, I've worked some bugs out, added positional audio to the enemies, changed up the spindash, added a stomp and a wall jump, and finally got a decent menu system worked out. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/46636748/SI%20TD8.exe I can't wait to attack whatever bugs you find.

This is what I have so far, the larger part will layer over sonic to give it some depth, think of it like the ridges on a lilly pad: Of course if you don't want a ridge, you don't have to use it. the thin part will be what he stands on, I made a variation with a flower on it for some variety. Obviously he won't collide with the flower. The vine is going to be extremely difficult to make, as I'm not sure how you were planning to simulate the gravity with it, I'll need more details before I can do anything about that. Seaweed is surprisingly hard to do...
  15. Playable demo you say...? I'll see what I can do. :3 Also, I'm not sure you'll be able to make the lilly pad stem float upward without using phizix or box 2d, but if I have some time I'll see if I can design a workaround. You're using the worlds engine right?

  18. Just a quick question for those of you with animated springs, I was wondering what would be a good speed for a spring animation. I want the player to be able to see that it stretched out, but I don't want it to seem like it's moving too slow, I want it to appear as though it's punching sonic into the air.

Turned out the modifications I had made to blazefire's grinding mechanics were screwing with the jumping... somehow... Anyways, it's all taken care of. Thanks :3
  20. Hi guys, I'm having problems making a stomp blazefire's 06 engine. Now, I've already made the stomp itself and it works perfectly, but the problem is the execution. If Sonic's action is 0 (basic movements) he can do it just fine. But if his action is 1 (jumping) it puts him into 0 resulting in falling instead of stomping. I've determined the problem to be the event that tells sonic to switch back to 0, but I can't find it. Alternatively, is there any way I could set up an event so it goes to a certain alterable value and deliberately ignores another one?
  21. Does anyone know where I can find ingame sprites in this pose? I know they exist, I had them once, but I seem to have lost them. EDIT~ I found them, nevermind.
  22. The tree doesn't fit, try messing with the palette a bit. I like those flower things.
