Yeah, don't do that. We don't do bumps here... and the idea of bumping after only 20 minutes is outright ridiculous as your topic hadn't even been replaced by anything.

As for your game having to have the homing attack, that's kinda... a bunch of bullshit. There is only one reason your game would use this engine and have to have the homing attack, and that's if you are already planning to abuse homing attack combos as a means of getting over obstacles, and quite frankly that's bad design. Popular bad design that is used in every official game since Sonic Adventure... but bad design none-the-less.

That said, if you absolutely must have homing attack and can not be dissuaded, you should look at the shield attacks in one of the special versions of the engine and use that as a guide. There are many ways to implement homing attack that are all different and they can be as simple as a straight line dash to a target or as complex as a selectable target system with strange curvature to the attack itself that is hard to figure out at a glance.

But yeah, my advice is to re-evaluate whether you really need the homing attack. If you want it in your game, you are going to have to learn how the engine works. In fact, you'll probably have to learn lots of things. One of the ideas behind this engine has been that it's heavily based on the classics and we've wanted to keep it that way so there is no major build featuring the homing attack and I don't think there are any open engines featuring it either for you to scrum from.
