DimensionWarped Posted December 20, 2009 Report Share Posted December 20, 2009 Theme: Sprite one of the following: scenery doodad (think trees, rocks, statues, fountains, things flying around in the background, things flying around in the foreground, soda cans, too many things to list) enemy boss gimmick to fit within a snow or Christmas/other winter holiday themed Sonic level within any particular existing 2D Sonic game (3D Blast is disqualified, Sonic 1-3K, CD, Advance 1-3, and Rush+Adventure are allowed). You must post your sprite within a picture of a snow themed level. You are allowed to change the scape of any given level to make it look like a snow level through the usual tricks such as pallet swapping. Special Rules: You are allowed to Frankenstein existing sprites together for this contest. The judge(s) are allowed to react more favorably to purely original artwork. Judge(s) and the host are allowed to participate, but are ineligible for the grand prize... which admittedly isn't that grand. Judgment will be based on the following criteria: Effort (20%) - Does it look like work went into this (tip to sprite mixers - multiple frames will boost this) Art (40%) - How neat is it, how pretty is it Usability (40%) - Does it fit the level art I'm recruiting judges. I'm the host of course. Participation: +2 rep points Grand Prize: +10 dollars on Amazon.com from the host (alternatives can be worked out to the tune of ten dollars) Since everyone is free right now, we'll have a due date of the 27th of December at 10:00PM. If less than 5 non-affiliated people have participated at that time, an extension to January 1st will be made.
