lowrate
is there a way to make a platform online multiplayer with mmf2? if so, is there an example?
DiabloHedgehog
The MOO extensions are fairly easy to use for sending data, I believe mmf2 still has the extensions.

DiabloHedgehog
For what I remember MOO2 for older mmf and tgf versions let you connect to an ip, one person would host and others could connect to them using an event in game, then you would send other player's x and y position details every second or two. if you send too many packets a second and someone had a slow connection it would lag more and more until there was like a 20 second delay so you have to be careful. MOOsock would work but it's much more advanced and mainly used to make things like chat messengers and irc clients.
FlammerTheHedgehog
so Moosock is a game making programm for mmo's but you can't make chats ircs or clients?
GSF
No, Moosock is not a program, it's an extension that allows to send and receive packets through the Net. These 'packets' can be numbers, text or whatever. You can make a chat program with it, sending the text as packets. Check out the Clickteam forums, they have tutorials on that. DiabloHedgehog
You would probably get a faster answer if you asked google search about making an online game in MMF.

LarkSS
Lowrate gives lowrate answers. Practice making recorded movement. Storing the data of your movement is like sending it via packets to another IP, and replaying your movement is similar to the other IP recieving your packets and recalling your movement variables from it. If you don't know how to do any of this, then you need to start learning before delving into multiplayer. Btw, the shift key is your friend. You can find one to the left of the Z key OR to the right of the question mark key above your arrow keys. Pick one; they're great.
