Possibly on Hedgehog Day (February 2nd) or at some other point in February. The article states the new game is coming later this year to Wii U, PS3, 360, 3DS, PS Vita, PC, and “Next Gen” consoles.Apparently it’s going to continue with the game play formula of Sonic Unleashed, Colors, and Generations and the stages will have multiple routes again as well as multiple exits that lead to different stages. Another interesting thing to mention is we may be getting to play as character other than Sonic this time around.Again as stated in the topic title this is all just a rumor. So have I, not saying that they don't exist... however, in regards to SA2 you must realize that saying: "I want and SA3" is much easier than typing out: "I want a sonic game that is more similar to the sonic adventure games. Personally, I miss playing as 6 different characters. I miss taking care of chao in the chao garden. I would like to see a newer, refined chao garden in the next sonic game. I'm also getting bored playing as JUST sonic. I'd rather have a more traditional gaming style instead of boosting all the time. I like the expand-ability of the adventure titles ergo the kart racing, bumper cars, pinball and variety of gameplay styles. I also miss having a more serious tone in the stories, not as serious as sonic 06, but definitely not as kiddie as colors/generations. They should aim the script for 12 year olds. Old enough to understand whats going on, but not embarrassing to play in front of your other friends. I would also love to see the return of traditional 'casino' stages like casinopolis. Casino stages are a recurring theme in sonic games. Sonic 1, Sonic 2, (some would conisider sonic 3's carnival night zone as a casino-based stage. Though it is more carnival than casino.) Sonic 3D Blast, and Sonic Adventure. All of those games included casino based stages. Heroes had it, and so did sonic 4. Generations had a pinball add-on, however it's not the same feeling that i'm getting at. I'd like to see sega return to tradition as well as create new ones. Don't get me wrong, i'm not close-minded to the idea of boosting. Personally I think that super sonic should get the boost, not sonic. Lastly, I'd like to see the return of a continuing story-line and cannon. you could argue that Sonic Generations took place directly after colors (because it did) but it's not exactly the same. I'd like to see how station square has evolved over time and the mistic ruins as well." ... so instead typing ALL of that (though their opinions will differ from mine) we say "I want an SA3." The majority of the people that I talk to (sa3 related) feel exactly the same way. (though their opinions differ from mine) I've never met a single person that wants a game to be TITLED Sonic Adventure 3 because it would be called sonic adventure 3. But it sucks because I will be working when Sega does that live stream. >.> And I honestly don't see us ever getting a Sonic Adventure 3, but that doesn't bother me. I've been a Sonic fan since the beggining and I was happy probably up until the time Shadow the Hedgehog came out. Then extremely unhappy when Sonic 06 came out, sort of so-so when Unleashed came out and back to happy once Colors and Generations came out. I'm kinda the same. Thing is I'm not all that happy when it comes to the whole 2D thing. Generations and Colors actually made it possible to be liked at 2D and 3D but some people don't agree. They just want 2D pixels.
