MaxSonic
Video Here You may notice the background problem in the video. The view changes, and the background can't keep up. It's fine when you hold still, but as soon as you start moving, the background starts jumping around. What I've done is used an object to set the background to view_top and view_left. Now if I use an object to DRAW the background at view_top and view_left, it doesn't jump. However, this creates problems because then I have to have all the backgrounds drawn. So is there a way you can think of to have the BG stop jumping?
rogueyoshi
eh i remember having this issue before we wrote up custom scripts for parallax. its actually a game maker issue. i believe its because views get updated after the end step event. if i can remember the workaround i used, ill let you know. Spike
Ah yeah, I've had this problem, too. I just never worked around it, though. It does get annoying.
VectorSatyr
its actually a game maker issue. i believe its because positions get updated after the end step event. The only workaround is setting positions in the Draw event. Otherwise, you get lag. =/
