You have probably noticed that there old enemies in Sonic Colors (Wii/DS), like Motobug, Spiny, Chopper and others. Every Sonic Game always had new things, like new badniks, but in Sonic Colors this routine stopped. I heard sometimes, that Colors and Generations was developed in the same time, Generations was to have appeared on the Wii, but it was canceled, to compensate, Sonic Team has created Sonic Colors, exclusive for Nintendo consoles. And to enjoy the time, they put badniks that would be used in Generations, in Colors too. Is that right? Thank you! Super Spindash Posted July 31, 2013 Report Share Posted July 31, 2013 (edited) I think it's been confirmed as true that Colours was originally a Gens port, considering the models for the Colours enemies are listed as, for example, "MOTORA_SD" and in Generations it's "MOTORA_HD", this leads more to the theory being true. InfinityAlex Posted September 6, 2013 Report Share Posted September 6, 2013 It was said an interview with a Sonic Team dev that the team started thinking about Generations just after Unleashed was completed, so if Colours was in dev before Unleashed was released, then I assume Unleashed was the base engine, and then Colours and Generations built ogg that.
