  1. Thanks goes to Rael for the water reflection design. I'll try your suggestion to see what I can come up with for the inside wall. Initially, I was shooting for a lighting effect but it makes sense that for an inside wall design, there really wouldn't be much light there huh. For the lamppost 'checkpoint', I was thinking of something like this: But using those colors, it makes it looks too bumper-ish. But it's not a bad idea to go with.
  2. I think they are okay, it might need to be colored different later on, but the overall design is pretty good. EDIT: Actually, I was thinking of re-coloring the top to have typical bumper colors (red, yellow and blue). I haven't decided yet.
  3. New bee badnik created by one of our new members, Yasin. And he created a lamppost for me as well. Some other things I did recently are HUD replacement with new lives counter and dark hexagon pattern backdrop in the zone.
  4. Good luck, even though there's only 3 days until the submission deadline, i'm sure a lot of fangamers can whip up quite a bit in that time. I'm a bit sad that I won't be submitting a booth this year, but still somewhat relieved that there's now another full year to make more, better stuff for the next one.
  5. Unfortunately I am not going to be able to get my game demo done in time for the event. (more than a couple setbacks happening) On a good note, I'm shooting for for next year, while it's Sonic's 20th. And good luck to those who enter this year! Something to be excited about at least.

  7. I have doubts for myself, there's so much to do with mine yet. I suppose it's going to be a 'see if I can get enough done in time' kind of thing. It has been a long time dream to have a booth at SAGE. I'm pretty impressed with what you've done so far, I hope you can finish the act in time.
  8. I'm actually going to push hard to get a two act demo of Sonic Mobius prepared for SAGE next month. Even though I said before that I was passing it up this year, I have too much time on my hands at this point. It's pretty cool to see what others have going too, it's going to be exciting!

  11. You're right, I just tried it. It's pretty interesting. Any idea what those odd designs are on the bottom half of the play area? I don't think I ever saw those anywhere before. EDIT: Possible left over graphics from Genocide City? or perhaps even a slight bit of some other zone we don't know about? Eh, i'll probably be proven wrong.
  12. I didn't even know it could be done either until it happened. I'm trying to backtrack what it was that I did to get it like that. I have a save state if anyone is interested. And it looks like there's some mixed designs scrambled in the bottom half that I have never seen.
  13. This is the first time I have ever accessed Wood Zone in 2 player form. From the stage select, I selected Wood Zone and this is what I got: I never seen this before, has anyone else? I'm just very curious. But the tiles are all screwed up.

  16. Excellent tutorial! I do agree, the loop is a nightmare in its present state. I have it under control, but the main thing that I can't get down right away is the parallax setup. This is my more worrisome issue. I sent a PM to you a while ago for help but I don't know if you got it yet. Any help given regarding this can be explained on the Sonic Worlds - Parallax Setup That's Slightly Different - thread that I created, I explained and demonstrated my issue the best I could there and it's still open for helping. I appreciate any help, a lot!

  18. Can't wait to see some new screens! I wanted to have something playable myself for SAGE '10, but real life is taking over everything basically. So I guess i'm passing too this time around. But i'm looking forward to the next Nexus release however! More time = more creative awesomeness!

  22. Ok, great I know what the hot spot is now. Here, i'll show a few of them at their current postions: I'll take a look at the base sprite for comparison. Now, when I make the proper adjustments, i'm pretty sure I am going to need to go back into reposition skin and take that -10 out of there so the sprite isn't raised above the ground. And thanks for the tips sonikku x, you earned a rep+ for giving additional info I need. DW repped as well. EDIT: Well, I fixed my hot spots and removed that -10 value.. Problem solved!! It was a hot spot issue indeed. I am very appreciative of the help. Thanks a million!
  23. Forgive me, i'm not quite sure what the "hot spot" is yet apparently. Could you fill me in? That would explain why I was having issues from the get-go.
