Hello everyone. Not used to doing an intro thread like this (most forums I know frown upon it), but it seems to be not only accepted but encouraged here. So:
'sup.

A little background:
I'm a Computer Science major-in-training at Clarke College, which exists somewhere in the black hole we like to call a midwest USA. First came ahold of this page, and joined thereafter, because of my roommate. Therefore, if all else fails, blame ila - it's his fault I'm here now.
Focus in fangaming:
I'm a bit new to the fangaming world, but I have seen quite a bit of what you guys have done over the past couple years, and I'm impressed. I'd like to get down and design some engines/backend for you all, but as a programmer, I feel more inclined to do those in some form of programming lanuage instead of using MMF, GF, etc. I've tried, but never really got comfortable defining things by point-and-click. However, if someone needs a good, solid coder, I'll be available. My main work is done in C++/Java/Ruby, and I have some knowledge of SDL (a multimedia framework) and the Allegro game programming library. Also interested in learning the Python/PyGame system.
I love playing multiplayer games: anything that you can turn to another person (or use some form of voice chat), and say "ha! take that!" That said, It would thrill me to no end if someone wanted to work on a LAN- or IPX-connection based Sonic multiplayer project. That would be le cool.
Well, that's me. Do what you will.
