  1. Not true, l-cancelling and DIing are 100% crucial for tournament-level play. I used to be into that stuff. *sighs and looks off into the sunset* *forgot to mention teching and tech chasing*
  2. Lol! Well that's good too. But I meant wavedash, l-cancelling, mindgaming, wave-shining, pillaring, an unlimited array of comboing, wall-of-pain, power-sheilding, DIing, dash cancelling, chain-throw and jump-cancelling... and those are only the things people found out about.
  3. *Refer to: Things that made melee the most incredible game ever(no I'm not referring to items).
  4. LOL fantastic work, I love your angles and style. The writing was great too.
  5. I never liked the new Metroid games that much, at least those that weren't like Super Metroid. Metroid is meant to be a platformer. If they just spent all that energy they used on making an FPS Metroid on making a game that is like Super Metroid except 1000x better looking then they would've made one sweet game.
  6. Often true, though SSBM was one of the best games ever created if you actually play it.
  7. I challenge everyone to a SSBB 1v1 match when it releases!(Hopefully we get that internet support)
  8. I'd prefer, "Amy/Rouge: SEGA's response to girls".
  9. Very nice Delta, I like your modeling work. Is this "Blender" tool specially made for 3D game dev? It looks pretty cool.
  10. Really nice precussion work, great job!
  11. That is some fantastic looking gameplay! While Silver's movement appears a bit clunky the nearly fully destructable environment looks just plain awesome. I am really interested to see where this goes.
  12. Thanks guys, you're too kind. This type of stuff is really all I can draw these days.
  13. Here are some sketches that are being made into art for my game(Colors represent alternate frames that can be made from the base image). Sketches: Final: All the frames for the animations are done of course, but I'm too lazy to upload them all.
  14. I'm sure some of you have heard this already, but it is by far the best Zelda arrangement I've ever heard.
  15. I don't get it, they're not even really hoaxes since you admit they're fake right off the bat, it's more like casual graphic editing.
  16. I saw it! Awesome comedy, drama and overall plot. I thought it had the balance of a smooth animated classic and the nostalgia of golden era Simpsons episodes. I really could expect nothing more out of this movie... except maybe having the alien twins play a part in the plot. 5 out of 5 stars!
  17. Of course we can't forget Sonic The Hedgehog(SatAM)! A game featuring cutting edge graphics and original gameplay, not to mention perfectly capturing the look and feel of the saturday morning cartoon! </hypeplz>
  18. Yeah for some reason I just feel like anything past one minute is a stretch or boring somehow. I think it's just because music is only a third of what I do on my projects and I'm usually working solo. Thanks for the comments, I'm going to work on lengthening stuff in the future I swear! XD My longest is like 1:30.
  19. Lol thanks. Yeah I guess the lackluster attraction here is that they aren't made with super high quality synth. If anyone knows where to find anything really good, perhaps that EWQL ssbfalcon referred to, it'd be much appreciated.
  20. Lol, wow like triple the posts I got from my music display. Anyways, good job, I like the pencil-work.
  21. I've frequently noticed cool particle effects in games, similar to the brick destruction effect in your screens Sonic101. I'm wondering if this is a feature to GML, or is it an MMF thing? I'm not using either of the development tools, but if they can dynamically create alpha channel effects like that, I'm pretty impressed.
  22. @vgpu Actually, if you read my previous post vgpu, I said Epoch did NOT do so. It was actually no differently designed than a normal Sonic game besides the worldmap, health system, Sally and use of items. This isn't to take away from Rob Showalter's incredible abilities as a programmer, I'm just saying the game design was not an accurate interpretation in my opinion. Anyways, check out my previous post and you'll see what I'm actually talking about for design concepts.
  23. @Dimension Warped That's the trick isn't it? Being intimately familiar with the series I am very keen on what could be translated into a game and still retain the feel of the show. Certainly a generic Sonic game would not do as well as one specially designed to match the environments, interactions and theme of the show(If you are shooting for this specific goal atleast, nothing against Epoch). A quick example of what I mean here. The gameplay is formulated around Freedom Fighter missions, often giving you something to accomplish as each character(Though Sonic is the focus of my demo). When playing as the Blue blur you don't simply jump on things to defeat them, and you can't run as you might normally do in other titles. Running is more like charging your spin attack, fighting swatbots is also more extrusive than one might imagine which requires a great deal of swatbot behavior code such that they can shoot eachother if Sonic runs between them or they can be tripped/knocked over in many different circumstances. Sorry for the length, but I hope I've given you some idea of my goal.
  24. @Serephim Thanks for the comment Serephim... I think. @Spike It's gonna be alot of work, but nothing I can't handle. It's no secret that I'm an avid fan of SatAM(season 1 mainly) and because of this, I've been studying its style and designing my game to match it in appearance, sound and gameplay. I understand that there're not many SatAM fans here, that can be seen from the shape and form of fangames developed in the community. I just hope you can all appreciate the time and care I am putting into making this fangame the best SatAM game out there. Thanks for the faith, I hope I won't let you down. @Slinger Sorry about the double post I didn't even think that I was the last poster.
  25. Whoah Colbert on Who's Line?? Too good! I don't remember seeing him in the past. Fantastic news for PIR, I always love Carey.
