  2. Not god awful, but not super good, somewhere in the middle. I like some of it, yeah you gathered that the mushroom looks bad, but a bit more shading and character to it, you'll get it. The grass is good, but the dirt isn't. Work on some like indents or something, that give it some depth. Also, make the background not a direct copy of AIZone, combine two levels backgrounds into one, edit some colours. Then, you'll be having a good level.   3. They are exactly my style, nothing really bad to say about them. Love them loads. However the fast rolling, like people said, might need some touch up, but all around, I love them. (Rep up)
  4. @BF: I havent included act 2... and I've planned in this game that some levels of act 2, have a suprise thing in... but you have to wait to the demo to play it. Right thankies for your comments, ideas and tips on improvements. The camera is now sorted, and you know what, it gives it hella lot more Game Gear feel. ^ ^ What I am now going to do, it play Game Gear games alot, and I mean alot, get the feel of them, note down level patterns, how things are set out, what gimmicks they use, how fluid is it. Stuff like that. After that, I will build a demo of Forest Shores, re-done and also include some old stuff in, like Mechinal Coil and Aero Babylon. (Also Checkerboard Hill). Anyway thanks for you help. Expect a demo quite soonish. -Amesuki- EDIT: I have lost everything on my HDD...luckly I have a backup on my external, but it a few engines back.   6. Ok this is going to be one of the last picture/movie updates for a while. I'm gunna give some suprises out later on. Anyway here is a movie of Act 1 Forest Shores. I have decidied that you can play this level instead of Rocket Rush for the demo, because RR still needs alot of work. Anyway in here you'll hear the level music and also Canyon Crisis Act 1 Music at the end. Well enjoy this: (The second run, is another path) Forest Shores Act 1 -Amesuki (EDIT: You'll gunna LOVE the special stages. Trust me) (E.EDIT: @Spike: I'm thinking of getting rid of that GameGear thing... or might add that scrolling in like you said.)

I have stopped working on Rocket Rush (to have a break from the level) and have been re-working the hud and a new zone called Forest Shores. I have also done a in-game map, like in Sonic 1 GG. Anyway here is a screenshot of Forest Shores Act 1: I have three gimmicks planned for this, one done, one in the making and one conceptualized. (1st: Frog-egg Vines, 2nd: Jumping Dolphins and 3rd: Leaf Blowers). I love the new hud... myself, it really suits the game. Anyway also here is the map, (in-game Sonic 1 GG style'd) There is also another map of Final Furness and Sky Egg, however Im not showing that right now : P Hope you like the update -Amesuki (Website updated)

  15. Nice, and I believe the collision is near perfect. But somethings I notice do need touching up: Buttons and layout. If you hold down left arrow and then press the right arrow, you start going right. However if you do it the other way, you still go right. Something you should just touch up on. Also layout, if your doing behind building stuff, I didnt like that brown block at the left side of it, because you had to move up anyway to get past the gap. Anyway, good so far. Keep it up. (Rep +)

  18. Lol it was originally purplish, but people said it look better red, because of the "clash" reason. I'm actully, the same with you... as this looks nicer: But other people, think its better red... I dunno, I might just stick with this colour scheme... I dunno...
  19. Ok, so a minor, yet sort'a big update. I have design most of the looks for Rocket Rush (Renamed it). It still needs some more objects, but that will come last. I have design one gimmick so far for it, however I have two other ideas, I am coding in. For multiple paths, well, one route, is underground, below the thrusters, one up on top, riding the rocks, one inside the rocket, and one on the lauching site... you'll get what I mean when you play it soon. I have screen shots of it in progress. Remember I am still working on this: General Launch Site Look (The main look of the level) The Laser Cannon. When you jump on the switch, it charges up and fires a deadly laser that can hurt you. However it can destroy objects in front of it, like barriers and platforms, as shown in this picture. The background rockets decorations. The Riding Rockets Part. Still work in progress. Hopefully, I'm going to have clouds moving in the foreground to make it look like your traveling upwards. Here is where the jumping rockets will be. (The rocket things in Spinball (Showdown). The Underground Part (WIP still). Not much to say yet, expect the thrusters will be here, and hopefully lava! Also here is the soundtrack for it. I will still edit it, until you believe it's not good enough.   20. I actully myself like it. It pretty cool, and I do like that image in the text. However it does need a banner. With a banner, and maybe a background image, it would look alot better. -=-Amesuki-=-
  21. Mmm, it might be my laptop. Wait, I do have a code, that well in 3D, but it could be ported to 2D I guess (take away the z plain) that deactivates objects after a certain distance around Sonic, that speeds the game up by huge amounts. But to be honest, I'm sure its my crummy 512mb laptop : (. (PM me, and I'll give you the code: (your on GM right?)
