  1. Some background pieces are in different layers. In mmf2, click view, toolbars, then layers. then try to look between layers 1 to 3 and delete the pieces. if they are locked, just click the red padlock on the layer until it's green, meaning it's unlocked. Oh, keep in mind that layer 2 is where every piece you want to insert in the level should be. To keep it safe, try to put them in layer 5 also to keep from deleting it by accident.
  2. Triple Trouble on 32x I've been busy with my job lately, so I may not be as active as I should be, but I do hope this little bit helps for insperation, even if it does sound rather muddy.
  3. Then use what is supplied to make the last sprite better. it is all in creative sense, Me boy. I posted everything here so that people can use the graphics and all as references to make something even more original. Think of it like that. Besides, I seen what you did with knuckles, its a good style edit and looks more original so far. I just want to see if the others can be the same way too.
  4. as an example' date=' yeah. in fact, I got permission from Gardow to allow people who wants to contribute to the project to use His sonic Sheet. be sure to credit and thank him for his efforts. [img']http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20952576/MahSawnic.PNG[/img]
  5. About this, I'm still not quite sure. it's not that I don't like the songs you make, but I don't know how to use a VGM tracker. I've tried myself. It's just complicated right now. But also, I wonder if you can allso make these in ogg format, or similar.
  6. Here they are. What do you think of this so far P3DR0?
  7. In regards to this, they are all basically classic animations with a few exceptions to be character specific. Like a falling animation to compliment the sonic 3 spring jump animation. Or a griding animation for Sonic Only. Other than that, its all classic animations from Sonic 3, but we'll debate on that when we get to the level gimmicks.
  8. Discussion for Character sprites and Graphics Ala he main Sonic Cast or future badnick and boss designs go here. Like the last one, here is some artwork to help get this started.
  9. Anything related to Palmtree parkway's graphics, designs, and music goes here. Zone 1: PALMTREE PARKWAY ZONE Music: Three remixes of Green Cliché (oldest version) Alternate Music: Isolated Island/Door into Summer (Chaotix) Miniboss: Giant Splats 2.0 (bouncing bunny enemy removed from Sonic 1) Boss: Remake of Palmtree Parkway boss from Sonic Zero Description: Starting off on the beach of Zero Island and moving inwards through the checkered hills towards the forest (zone 2) and city (zone 3) in the background, Sonic must weave his way through palmtrees, over sized totem poles, corkscrews and city-esquire gimmicks (seesaws from Star Light) in pursuit of Dr. Robotnick. The level is a mix of green level elements, and city level elements, with a short beach side starting section a la Sonic Advance. Flickies and other small animals frolic around in the first two acts. The layout of the first act, after you get past the newly added beach section, is remarkably similar to that of the 2009 demo. Animals: All Small Animals (aside from Chirp, Tiger and Iggy) To start things off, here is the artwork for the zone we have so far. Level layoutpart1 Levellayoutpart2 Gimmicks: Swing poles(Mushroom hill) Grind rails(Sonic Advance1) Crumbling platforms(Sonic1) Break away rocks(Sonic3k)
  10. Sonic Character Art My manga pens are lame...
  11. That's actually quite good, yet oddly enough the beginning made me pumped for a boss fight. I wonder... yet I'm hoping the deferences between your music and my music wont clash too much. yours sound more authentic than mine.
  12. Anything related to the core engine of the project, ideas and all, go here. The only programmed used to make this engine is Multimedia Fusion 2 HWA version. Also, anyone with said programs, or better suggestions for programs to use, they can post here. To work on the main engine, it is advise to post your e-mail, so the main project folder can be shared via Dropbox.
  13. Not really. The docx is basically the example of what makes up the game Sonic Zero. The levels described up there are god examples for what people want to make or try to make in the future of this project. Not everything is final.
  14. This thread is made for discussion of the game's main plots, artwork, music, ideas, and layouts for levels. All I ask is that you lable what you have. I'll start us off by showing some artwork and music of my own for this game. 15. Well, I'll revise the first post with a good set of rules. I'm not to used to leading a collab, so this will be a learning experience for me. @EarthmasterT: That is a good suggestion. Maybe to wire it down, there will be three judges to check out the main subjects you stated, the template provided is mandatory to easily sort through the levels people have made so far. I'll make this on the first post as I go.
  16. Been a long time since I posted here really, but I do it for good reason. From the beginning, I've been working on this fangame for many years, a long time coming really. And now, after having discovered the power of Sonic worlds, and the fine updates made from the fellow forumers and I that made the engine what it is today, Sonic Zero shall be the main game to demonstrate just how helpful, how unique, how customizable, and how powerful Sonic Worlds can be. To be fair, this is only a small bit of an idea, brought to my attention. I may not know where this may lead. But I will say this... Zero can and will be a Collaborative project from this moment forward. This thread will also be the main update thread. First thing to go through, are the main rules. These are subject to change over time. 1: Any submitted level must be layed out as such. This is thanks to EarthmasterT. ZONE 1: "ZONE NAME" DEVELOPED BY: "DEVELOPER'S NAME" ACTS: "# OF ACTS" 2: Art styles of levels are limited to the 16-bit Era of Sonic games.(Sonic1, 2, 3, CD, Chaotix, etc.) Anything beyond that Like Sonic Advance and such are not recommended. 3: You are allowed to use any program possible to make and play the level you made, but once your level has been accepted, you must make a png file of all the tiles that make up the level. Helps port things around from engine to engine. More details will come shortly. More details about this collab will come. At the mean time, feel free to ask any questions. Now Accepting Donations of most kinds. I thought for those that are interested, they may want to read this file. Sonic Zero project document
  17. I think its fair that I make a new one with more up to date info on my Fan Game Project. Any new visual updates will be found only on the first post and the replies made by me. First some information for you. I have been trying to manage with the friends I have that have helped me with this game from the start. GNA, a friend of mine, has done a marvelous job in making the level graphics, coupled by Sparks, another good friend, who is doing superb on making the level maps with me. However, I have lost a few people who were going to help with the game's sprites and graphics, so how things are working now for that much is even slower than it should be. Gardow has also leaned a helping hand for letting us use the Sonic Sprite he's working on. If only I can find another that is willing to put up a little work behind him for other graphical needs, so for anyone here that wants to help with this much, it's greatly appreciated. Screen Shots: Vids: NO WAY! No Way! No Way. No Way?... 18. Warm Walkway Act1mix Edit: 300! THE MARK OF A TRUE SPARTAN!!!
  19. Apparently, things are shaping up quite nicely here. though there has been a few complications along the line, I am still looking for contributers sprite wise.
  20. Its a good thing I know CPR. My heart stopped just looking at this.
  21. Well Sir, As soon as LarkSS and I finalize the newest and possibly final build of Sonic Worlds Delta, We'll also include the documentation on what everything covers. You could at least ask what the trouble is. There's no shame in asking for help though. For Such good tiles here, its a darn shame to see them waisted. Seriously, man.
