  2. That's for a very old version of GM, and the engine doesn't support slopes or anything new-age. Thanks anyway though. I guess there aren't any new Knuckles engines, I've looked everywhere.
  3. Wow, that game looks great. I'm officially interested.
  4. Hey. I'm putting Knuckles into my game, and I've made an engine for him. It works, but it is INCREDIBLY glitchy and doesn't work right. The gliding is buggy because it almost never accelerates when you start, and I can't get a turning sprite to work for him. The climbing is buggy because it will work on slopes instead of just flat walls. Overall, I just can't get it down. Has anyone ever made a Knuckles GM engine before? Espescially one to fit well with Damizeans?
  5. I have some 256MB SanDisk cards that would work. I should probably do that too. Good idea.
  6. I could use a backup from yesterday, But today being a day off, I practically added another 33% to my game. Oh well, looks like I have no choice. The sound is an issue because GM has problems handling large sound files. I wish I would have known that beforehand.
  7. It ruined the backups too, somehow. I save frequently, and I think it makes a backup every other save, so you can continue on the previous save if you screwed it up.
  8. Nooooooooo... My game I have been working on for months may be dead. All of the many backups, everything suddenly became corrupted when I uploaded one sound. Is there any way to extract that sound to maybe, possibly get it working again?
  9. Oh wow, this needs alot of work. Alot. Negative points: Chaos is rediculously tiny He has a shadow when not on the ground. Whats up with that? When his shadow is on the ground, it goes up off the ground. No jumping sprite unless standing perfectly still and holding the button No bounce when landing on an enemy. He must weight 2 tons to drive straight though one! Enemies are mindless. They walk back and forth. Fix that god-aweful scrolling. You can't even play the game like that. Moving platforms barely work. No health. Terrible font on the MISSION 1 START! screen. It looks like it says TRISSION 1 STABT E. The jumping sprite is the spindash. The jumping sprite faces right no matter what. Positive points: I like Chaos. You had your ideas in the right place. I don't think this is any more than the Game Maker platform engine (Found on the GM website) with terrible scrolling. But please, don't take offense. I am merely trying to point out the faults so you will know what to change.

  11. I played it, and I loved it. It felt like a real Sonic game, and that is really all I look for in any fangame. (Make Robotnik shoot less frequently though, if your computer isn't dead slow it is almost impossible to avoid)
  12. Oh, THOSE trees? Yes, they are horrible. I was planning on fixing them soon. LarkSS, it is Isometric. He lands down flat on them for a 3D-ish look.

  15. Check out this game I'm working on. I plan on putting out the demo within the next month. I also plan on putting Tails and Knuckles in very soon. (lolz unoriningal name) Title screen (The background moves horizontally and quickly.) Slopes and such Showing the background Playing as Super Sonic See anything you like or don't like? Any feedback is welcome, unless it involves the game title.
  16. Ksoft, I rather like the HUD. I do think that the color should change to match the level, though. It looks out of place.
  17. I don't see anything wrong with Japanese in America. But you can read katakana, right? Because I can understand the annoyance if you couldn't even read it.
  18. Sorry, I didn't like it. It seemed just like an ugly mix up of Genesis and Advance sprites (Not a good idea). The level was also extremely repetitive. It has potential though, I guess.
  19. Looking forward to it then. If you fix everything we said, it should be a great game.
  20. Might I add that the cutscenes were NOT too long? (As I said before) But rather boring. Just zooming in on each character while they talk would be great, it would look more like a cutscene than talking sprites. And about the moth moving sprites... Last time I checked, when you talk, your mouth doesn't open horizontally. Heh heh

  23. This game is FANTASTIC for a first game! I espescially like the story. Although the cut-scene was a little bit boring, I sat through it. It's a great concept, going around the world searching for Turbo Ring signals. However... 1. The cutscenes are EXTREMELY long. Some sentences could have been cut out and not made a difference. 2. The resolution is huge. It makes Sonic and Knuckles (and everything else) look TINY. There isnt really anything huge you need to see, so you could probably make it smaller. Around 320x240. 3. I just hate the Sonic sprites you used. They look... odd... 4. No continues. If you want people to test it out, you should probably give them more than 2 tries. I died on the first boss. That buttscratch line was great. I don't know why I thought it was so hillarious, maybe because it just came out of nowhere.
  24. You know those Sonic logos? The ones with the green/yellow inside and blue outline? The bubble lettered ones used in the Genesis games. I've tried everything that I can think of in Photoshop to make one that says "SONIC 4" and looks real. Could anyone help me out here?
