LHtheHedgehog (someone who was here a long time ago) has an Unleashed-style engine on his website. I don't know if it's still live, though. But I say it has the boost you're looking for.

So, people stole sprites from a fan game called Sonic vs. LF2. The owner of the game peacefully called them out on his YouTube channel, only to be bitched at and made infamous. I dunno too much about sprites (I've made some in the past), but which side is more unethical? *If you find this too contraversal, just scroll past it
. I'm just curious to hear opinions from other people.-
You do make a good point about the whole cancelation thing, though. It's just one of those "you trip, we all fall" situations.

. Well, to be honest, I kinda took my old sprites off dA after the whole conundrum because I didn't want those people who steal sprites using *my* shit. Not that I really care much for the old stuff I made, but still. I can think waaaaaay back in like 2009 when people started flipping shit over TarnishPrower's sprites, stealing them and such.

What is Sonic the Hedgehog 4 to you? I haven't played it much, probably just a demo. To me, it looks like a good fangame that someone put so much time and effort into. Perhaps it's not what it was meant to be: a direct continuation of the first three Sonic games, but how does it stand on its own? (Plus, I'm glad they ported to PC, because playing Sonic games on a touch screen sucks.)

Sonic vs. Darkness: True Nightmare Revived has to be the most polished, but I'm not too much of a modern Sonic gamer. I do remember when Sonic Fusion was starting out, it was like a sequel to the Sonic Advance series - I found that pretty fun. Time Attacked was fun, some of BlazeHedgehog's games were enjoyable too. I'm having trouble thinking of one that's my absolute fave
. I'm open to playing any fan games, honestly.

I'm a self-taught programmer, so this beginner's course I'm taking has actually helped surprisingly well! I've restructured my game's physics to be much more development-friendly, and this should further speed up other stuff.

SAGE comes right around Otakon, so can't make it. Maybe next time with one of my non-Sonic games.

Hopefully you're talking about Otakon the convention and not Metal Gear's Otacon xD.
