I'm at a loss here...Any of you guys hear of XDragoon? It's a webcomic made by someone named Felipe with the screenname "Yuski." I've seen his older work on dA and YouTube and noticed that he really likes the Chaotix. Then I remember seeing the "sprite libs" on the SFGHQ websites by someone named Yuski, who even published a few fan games there too - this Yuski was also obcessed with the Chaotix. I suppose it's safe to say these all came from the same person? I...

Until I actually have stuff to show, lemme say I'm working on a fan game. It's basically a modern Sonic game in which Sonic gets rule63'd. Don't worry, there won't be any 18+ or fanservice or any of that stuff. It's just a Sonic game with a different story.

So, people stole sprites from a fan game called Sonic vs. LF2. The owner of the game peacefully called them out on his YouTube channel, only to be bitched at and made infamous. I dunno too much about sprites (I've made some in the past), but which side is more unethical? *If you find this too contraversal, just scroll past it . I'm just curious to hear opinions from other people.

You also hace to consider the cancelation was not because the sprites were stolen, but because he was berrated for it, its sort of like a "fuck off we only like you for this".

Ahh quite a discussion we have here . Well, to be honest, I kinda took my old sprites off dA after the whole conundrum because I didn't want those people who steal sprites using *my* shit. Not that I really care much for the old stuff I made, but still. I can think waaaaaay back in like 2009 when people started flipping shit over TarnishPrower's sprites, stealing them and such.

You do make a good point about the whole cancelation thing, though. It's just one of those "you trip, we all fall" situations.

What is Sonic the Hedgehog 4 to you? I haven't played it much, probably just a demo. To me, it looks like a good fangame that someone put so much time and effort into. Perhaps it's not what it was meant to be: a direct continuation of the first three Sonic games, but how does it stand on its own? (Plus, I'm glad they ported to PC, because playing Sonic games on a touch screen sucks.)

Even if it wasn't Sonic 4, I wouldn't call it passable.
The controls just suck that bad.

Yeah, I can understand that. Also, the physics are pretty slippery and unstable.

The physics may not be that accurate but I think the game is still very fun, and it has one of the greatest soundtracks in Sonic history imo.

I FINALLY GOTTA PC!! Took in our old family computer (Goodness, is that even a thing anymore?), and made it my own! I probably won't be working on anything until Xmas break comes up. I'll be knee-deep in college work next semester, so I'll probably drop by every now and then for fun .
