Okay discussion on the gameplay reveal trailer should not go on here, but I just want to copy/paste what I just said to someone online What everybody was hoping was that the games would really open up in terms of alternate routes and exploration, this looks like the complete opposite. also Nintendo is playing their (obvious) involvement way too safe, they just made it look/play exactly like galaxy, wanted something a lot more original

Even though there's a basically impossible chance it'll be out by tomorrow I just thought, the identity of those silhouettes in the new Sonic Lost Worlds pic are apparently going to be revealed tomorrow, and they could determine the gameplay style(s) for the whole game, which will create massive discussion around the internet. So for ATS to get attention and be noticed by people reading news articles on other sonic sites I think it's best to release it a couple of days after these characters are revealed (or it would help the ats release trailer get more views), though that's pretty much guaranteed to happen anyway so this post is probably pointless. xd
  4. If both Sonic Chrono Adventure and (this is only based on a comment that a ton of the game is finished from Joseph Waters) Sonic XG are released at Sage we might have one of the best years of Sage, at least in terms of the games.

  6. I love the art you did for the mountains, and that last screen with a large chunk of the wall missing and a spirally magic dimensional thing behind it looks really interesting. So woah 75%, I see why you said no to a demo this time. I'm curious about what you're doing with the music though, are you just using music from other sonic games? Or are you using obscure tracks almost no one's ever heard of/asked musicians if you can use their music?

I was sort of hoping the current intro was being replaced, it felt like a placeholder to me because it was just using the in game sprites and was basic in general, where as BTS '12 has the new cutscene sprites from ATS and was a lot more cinematic, but since the new track is the same length as the intro it's probably there to stay.
  9. Don't worry about it, and I already said I'm not going to read into future comments from now on, to stop people reacting, so yeah back to ATS.
  10. *sigh*....are you done? If you read our posts in order, it had already settled down, and we were laughing about it, so, those last two posts were utterly pointless and just brought the mood down again for no reason. Do you still want to go on and on so that I can get called hostile by another person simply because I made a perfectly normal request? Or can we carry on talking about the game now? I wonder what other effects Lake's used for the special acts, and if there is a Storm Station special act what background changes could he do there.
  11. Well I wonder if that's a joke or not XD. Seriously though online there are some things you can't recognize in text, but some are (der) obvious. Anyway in future I just won't read deeply into any comments about ATS as anything.

Um, first of all calm down, you're making this a bigger thing then it is, and I would've thought the same thing, if Chaoslord one of the guys beta testing the final game didn't get a bit panicked about being hush hush about it. Maybe he was just joking, but it's hard to tell when you're only reading text, it sounds suspicious. And sorry Salazard, just seems that sometimes either people start asking questions about the end of the game or in this case someone else gives a pointless suspicious sounding reply to a normal comment, it's getting annoying. I'm sorry if it turns out I'm wrong about Chaoslord's comment, but how can I read that any other way? Anyway This doesn't need to go any further, no need to confirm or unconfirm anything, let's just move on.

Actually while it was dumb of him to not think "hmm maybe I shouldn't bring up the sprite of a known villian in the sonic franchise that I just found in this game right after we talked about NOT talking about knuckles", the "shhh" was more of a giveaway then anything else, please just think before posting, you could've pm'd him that. Everyone wants to mention everything under the sun for some reason. Anyway, for realsies, shhh.
  15. And all of his clothes are Chrono's from CT, I don't think it's necessary for the character have that much of a reference to Chrono, the character design would be better if it was more original imo, but it's up to you.

I'd rather they didn't even answer that with a "maybe we'll see...", honestly if Knuckles is in the game for a very small cameo near the end, Lake's probably been trying to keep that as one of the secrets he doesn't want to tell us, so I'd rather he didn't reply to that at all and I don't want to know about it, sorry. XD

What the hell, I've always known all that but for some reason I randomly forgot all about it for a few minutes when I made that post, what the hell's my brain been doing for the past hour, ugh, thanks Lange. As for the state of the Death Egg I guess what you say is true, in Launch Base when you see it externally still intact it may have always been that way, but I've always thought it blew up at the end of Sonic 2, affecting the outside too, and that you got to Launch Base by the time they'd put it back together from the outside.
  18. There surely needs to be a double check after the soundtrack is fully implemented, the bubble glitch in Perilous Paradise was due to replacing the tracks wasn't it? Btw Lake I hate to point out possible plot holes so soon before release, but I just thought of a couple of things. In the cutscene introducing Foliage Furnace where Sonic & Tails see the Death Egg being carried and dropped on Angel Island, why is it still intact? Shouldn't it be be mostly blown to pieces from Sonic 2? Also am I seeing the island start to fall as soon as the Death egg lands on it? Because it's not the weight of the Death Egg that makes it fall, it's Robotnik stealing the Master Emerald. Was that scene meant to imply Robotnik's stolen it but you made it happen instantly in order to make the cutscene shorter?

For me SatAM's the best cartoon, had the best/most well developed characters, most thought out/mature story, best art direction/detail, it had some problems such as cheesy lines every now and then due to being an early 90's cartoon but for the most part it's awesome. AoSTH apart from The Quest for the Chaos Emeralds and Dr.Warpnick episodes is completely unfunny and the animation is awful, characters like Tails are way to childish and have really cringe inducing lines, it's terrible, Robotnik is the only good thing in almost any episode. Sonic Underground is basically SatAM except it doesn't do any of it as well and has terrible voices for Robotnik & Knuckles and those crappy songs, I think it's the worst of all the cartoons. Sonic X is just modern sonic "we have boring humans now!", and then for several seasons they just animated the adventure games scene for scene and then somehow ended up fighting mechs in space at the end. At least the original Japanese version has bearable/respectable voice acting and music to listen to. And the Sonic OVA/movie is okay, I wish they made more episodes and therefor a longer movie, like when they fly to Robotropolis, they could've come across hundreds of flying security drones that would've caught them so they have to go through the massive sparkling casino-esque city instead, where they could've met new characters/whatever. I think all the characters talk way too much/too fast, infact there wasn't a calm scene in the whole movie, and the writing was way too basic as well, I know it's for children but still.
  20. Do they have descriptions in-game before you select them so that people aren't confused about what they are?
  21. Lake are you using Tails's sprites from BTS Aftermath for ATS or just the regular Tails sprites?
  22. So can Lake or anyone else tell us if the soundtrack's 100% complete now or not?
  23. Yeah honestly they're working as fast as they can, and are going incredibly fast without rushing which is great, it wouldn't surprise me if Falk's on the last track now or they're beta testing already, we'll see.

XD Oh and LiBiYKWIM no I didn't mean what it physically looks like, I've seen all the screenshots/trailer parts of it that everyone else has (though in terms of act 2 & 3 I wouldn't say a five second blurred shot in one room of act 2 represents what the whole level and act 3 looks like), I'm talking about the gimmicks, hopefully they'll be very interesting like Arcane Altitude.
