It looks neat enough, but show me words like WORD, BYTE, and DWORD in person and I will make you go AGHHHHHHHHH until you convert it to good ol' standardness.

To make a long story short, I'll get a PS3 eventually (probably once my backlog of PS2 games exhausts itself). I'm a Sega fan through and through, but when it comes down to it there aren't too many games that thrill me for other systems. Oh, and I've never had a good PC ever, I'm afraid. I wonder if I'll have to learn PS3 coding by the time I'm done with college, eesh. But in the meantime, I'm waiting on FFXII, Drakengard 2, and VP2 even while FFX and such sit around in my basement waiting to be finished.

People have even ripped models off the PS2. I'll just say that it's not too surprising, as there aren't too many ways to represent model data (but UV mapping and animation are different stories). Heck, why not make yourself a modelripped papercraft ?

That's fricken' weird.... Sometime's you just gotta wipe and reinstall (because Windows goes all Windows on you sometimes). That being said, PCI sound cards don't hurt at all if you can put them in. I keep an AWE64 around for these kind of things (especially since Sound Blaster ANYTHING tends to be compatible with lots and lots of stuff).

This reminds me, I should be learning Java instead of porting emulators... (I'm going to RIT at the end of August. I'm hoping to get my M.S. in game design out of the way in the next 4 years...)

Blender will do it, though! Yeah, a do-anything SFGHQ WAN would be cool, but it's not exactly something I imagine too many people here putting resources into. Then again, I have a G3 and a dual-Celeron sitting around, so perhaps.... hm.

Ubuntu > Debian. Learn Gentoo; you might have to compile everything, but you're more likely to have the latest version of ANYTHING compared to the people who use other distros. Oh, and get with the program. Safe/semi-reliable NTFS write support has been around for a while (Gentoo PROTIP: euse -E fuse && emerge ntfsprogs)

Lots of times you can avoid spikes and stuff just by getting it just on the right frame. Tool-assisted speedruns do that a lot.
