Episode II is worth more around 8-10 bucks, so wait for a price drop. Some of the levels to me feel like they drag on way longer than necessary (hello Sky Fortress 1).

I prefer the original design, the new design is too 'cute' (well.. more than the design already was) and takes away the "fast" look of her.

Never played it. Every time I consider it, I watch a LP to remind myself why I shouldn't.

I'm not good with web design, definitely not an "expert," but when I did make a website I did the design in Adobe Fireworks, then imported it into Adobe Dreamworks. This was the most basic of site designs though, and I'm not even sure if it was stable or not. Either way, if I had Adobe programs at home (we used them at school) I'd probably still be fiddling around with it. Dunno if you have those or not.

People should be by default using .ogg because they're a much smaller file size than .mp3. :/ Mp3s make fan games big and fat in file size when it's not needed.

oh my god I cannot unsee it Ding ding ding. We have a winner. Barren Badlands has joined Zero as Zone 5, and Chronic is helping guide us to bringing the zone to life! Hopefully it will join the SAGE 2012 demo.Right now I'm having to clean up Tidal Tubes' layout after some inconvenient tile placement experiments regarding dimensions (I am sick of seeing that damn zone already, especially after 3 years of juggling its overhauls with other zones. Development limbo as Lark calls it.).

The S2HD team disassociated from Retro over a year ago into its own separate project that only took base at Retro if I recall correctly. Pretty much all of the bullshit revolving S2HD right now is because of LOst. He has suddenly "disappeared" from the scene too, which is only adding fuel to the fire. There's really a lot of hard work and dedication put into the project so it's a shame the whole thing is being derailed by one guy and his questionable tactics. They made the right move to boot him from the team. I don't regularly follow S2HD anyway, but the stuff that they do publish out inspires me a good bit, such as all the nice touches and they added to the original Sonic 2, as well as the character graphics being more true to the box art. It influences me to do similar things in Sonic Zero. The real shame I find is this kind of team effort isn't being put into an original fan game. I think they should clean up the DRM and keylogger nonsense, have an apologetic re-release, and then let the project die.

I sure hope this doesn't affect the public image of Sonic fan gaming in general. This is the last thing it needs with SAGE creeping around soon.

I'm not sure why it's occurring, because I've been testing Zero fine, and it has joystick2.mfx if I recall.

It dead ends me when it tells me it's too dumb to know how to find the location of DirectX itself. I found the location, but when I installed it, nothing changed.That and I have DirectX11, not 9.

...what are you talking about? I still have the joystick2.mfx bug occurring for me.

I actually like the Sonic based thing (technically it's a cartoon thing, not something Sonic invented). It keeps the pseudo-Sonic feel of the character.

No idea, it just says "Cannot load joystick2.mfx. This object might need an external program or library not yet installed."
