  1. Whoops, my mistake... I was looking up the emulators for my phone and was actually downloading the genesis and snes ones and trying to find a working GBA one... I need a new, non crappy phone...
  2. You have the same performance problem with firefox 2 and firefox 3? Oh right, check out the firefox 3.1 beta, some people have seen performance enhancements with it...
  3. Kerschweet! I'll grab this once I get off of work... Time to install an SNES emulator on my phone... *edit* GBA emulator... Genesis and SNES while I'm at it... There goes the already shitty battery life...
  4. There's always an AGP X1650PRO for around 65 off of newegg...
  5. Sweet... Hopefully we'll see some more great content... I suppose I could try my hand at tutorials again...
  6. I've pretty much stopped using it, except for occasional testing, or when one of google's apps seems to run slow under firefox, I jump to chrome since they pretty much designed it for that purpose... It's still ridiculously fast though from what I've seen...
  7. I really don't know... My gamer sense is tingling about this game... Its telling me that this game is going to be surprisingly good... I... don't... know... No, it's not going to be the greatest game, but it will be significantly not sucky... Then again, my gamer sense went into overdrive and broke when I visited a game store in Manhattan that had everything from back in the good old days... Including the Texas Instruments Computer system thingy... So I could be wrong... But I hope in some odd way that I'm not...
  8. On the plus side, you can learn a new recipe, learn how to play an instrument, or finish that novel you started while you beat Sonic Unleashed... It's a game for multitaskers, taking the long, tedious, and most of all time consuming part out of playing games... This game is revolutionary... All the fun of playing a game without having the fun of playing a game... Genius... Its a wonder Steve Jobs didn't think of this first... *edit* GASP! Jim Sterling Kinda liked Unleashed! http://www.destructoid.com/tgs-08-sonic-unleashed-hands-on-proves-me-right--106957.phtml tldr; Beautiful game, shallow gameplay, but fun. Might not suck, but might not be great either... I'm thinking tolerably entertaining...
  9. Meh, it doesn't seem that bad especially considering it's shot using a mediocre camera... And are you still on the "ZOMG! The Wii is slightly upgraded gamecube with wireless and waggle and it should produce crystal sharp graphics!!!" Oh, there are Wii games with nice looking textures and models and you expect the same from Sonic Team, who haven't made a good game in... forever? Dami, the gameplay has to be better... It has waggle!
  10. I kinda like the HUD... but other than that, there's nothing really interesting about these screens... Got any gameplay, videos, etc?
  11. Speaking of built in browsers... How is the opera browser for DS?
  12. Meh, the only GBA games I cared about were Super Robot Wars ones so the slot wouldn't make a difference to me... Dunno... never cared for anything else... But there are plenty DS games I do like... Meh, they might as well make this refresh if they want to stay competitive. People will buy it. Especially now that it has OMG camera and such... I read somewhere that the sound quality is supposed to improve in this model... Problem is, I forgot where that was...
  13. Besides that, something else seems odd about that picture, but I can't really put my finger on it... I think it has something to do with the lighting... it seems... weird...
  14. Well, it's to be expected... it is afterall the most expensive science experiment in history... If only there were an intergalactic Science Fair... Anyway... I say almost hacked because they didn't reach the control system, but according to the article, this group of Greek hackers were close... http://it.slashdot.org/it/08/09/12/1657211.shtml Now, this is obviously a system that everyone and their dead ancestors would want to mess with... So why have key components on the same network that has external access via the internet? Sure, they have layers of firewalls and passwords... but when has that ever stopped anyone? So according to the article, the Greek hackers were fairly close to accessing something more critical... Thoughts? Facepalms? FUD?
  15. *facepalms hard* PPZ Should play really nice under the Retro Engine...
  16. Don't mess with DW... He knows where you live... And it's not because you posted self incriminating information in your profile or anything...
  17. I'll have to see your new engine, but this first game showed a lot of effort in everything but the level design. I think if you spend a more time on the level design you may have something there... You don't need a 360 engine to make a fun and well done game... If you can make the levels more interesting and well designed, it negates the limitations of the engine... As long as you use it well.
  18. Woot, can't wait... What? I like water levels... Kinda...
  19. Wow... I just went to play Nexus again, and noticed these... Those platforms where when you step on them they just slightly sag down... Now little things like this type of attention to detail is completely made of pure awesome sauce...
  20. Actually, have you ever accidentally spilled some orange oil polisher onto a wooden floor? ? Only me? Let's just say it makes a great skating rink...
  21. Those fluffy animals deserved to be stuffed into the robots so you could open them like pinata's and eat the fluffiness inside! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA Now to ward off the PETA attack... Testimonials on your site I see Nexus team... Well deserved though...
  22. Yeah, there are cases when you'll need even more than that, though I'll agree that most people, including professional programmers are, in fact, doing something wrong... Or lazy, or rushing to meet a deadline and had to do some stream of consciousness programming at 4 in the morning and little sleep or sanity, or brain function (or at least, that's what a professor of mine mentioned happening many years ago)... I do guarantee that 90% of those idiotic cases are done in php... I'm sure if you poke around http://www.thedailywtf.com you'll find some examples of such idiocracy...
