After starting the SFGHQ Radio, witch I made this for, see this topic Here for more info on that. I desided to make a desktop background themed after SFGHQ, see I also made a background for SFGHQ Radio I also made these Desktop decerations. Updated

Its a choice of the user whether or not to have public or private folders. Also, the music folder in your account sin't public either. @ sonic101, sounds good, I look forward to what you and your band come up with.

ok, thats cool. Now, you do know you need an account on my server to do this right? Thats where the music folder that connects to the stream would be, thats also where you get the webspace to upload music for playing on SFGHQ Radio. just make and account if you havn't already and I'll set you up. use the banners in my sig to get started. Just wandering, what kind of music do you to make?

No, that all the members or the lead member of the band are/is ok with you uploading the music recording(s).

Banner fixed! it looks much better (in my opinion) than it did befor. @ sonic101, go right ahead, be absolutely sure you have permition to put on the stream though.

I rarely have any more than 2 listeners as it stands right now. I don't think anyone will mind much. Also what do you guys think of the new banner I made?

just listen to the stream, his files play just about as often as mine now, he got a lot of remixes too.

If you want to set up your own server, you should contact Koray, hes the one that helped me start mine.

I do run a file hosting server, the same computer that runs the file hosting server also runs a shoutcast stream now, witch means I can play music uploaded by myself and other users directly into the shoutcast stream.

@ RyanHedge, If you make an account on my file hosting server I can set you up to connect your music files into the stream. keep in mind files are automaticly added from monitored folders and played at random, so don't upload anything you don't want played (as odd as that may sound). also about the sonic music, I'd rether it be mainly original sonic and sonic related remixed music (Hints the name SFGHQ Radio "I should add my own acronim to the name... Sonic Fan Music Radio"), anyway, you may upload any music file you want. I'll update the first post with new info on current random chance %s. I also incurage those of you who mite be in a band or like to make music in some way to upload, this stream isn't much but it may help draw attention. also you can remove a file at anytime and the server will remove it from the playlist.

I only lowend DSL speeds to work with, plus I'm not the one paying for my internet connection. I only have 208Kbps out. the stream is running at minimum 24Kbps.

This is a shoutcast station on my server right now. if you have winamp you can tune in, it currently plays at random from what will soon by a dynamic user powered playlist. if you just want to listen Play this in winamp if you want to add music to the playlist just let me know and I'll put a music folder (or connect an exsiting music folder) in your account connected to winamp auto monitoring system, any music you upload will show up eventualy (MP3 only please). you can also contact me if you want me to skip to a specific song (please select from your own files) Updated as it stands right now: total files 381. My music DB 196 files 51% random chance MidiMans DB 5 files 1% random chance RyanHedge DB 180 files 47% random chance another sad fact is that I can only have 10 listeners at one time. I may look into broadcasting to other more powerfull Shoutcast servers, but I think my connection here will still limit it.

I get Error 404 Not found on all those links... why?

Yes, Like Ila said, my server is still up and running. I have FTP support too. However, there are some limits to my server that I can't do anything about: 1. Its not really fast (Low end DSL speeds at most) 2. you'll have to link people to the exact file address of your websites index.html file or find yourself a domain name service (I don't have a domain name/address masking system, costs money). 3. I don't have any website creation tools or templates built in (Its mainly a file hosting server that supports hotlinking, you'll need WYSIWYG software to create and link together your website). 4. Downtime may occure, but it's minimal (I keep an eye on my server fairly often. Also auto system update occurs every monday at 1:00 AM ). The up sides are: 1. You get 1 Gb of space to use by defult. 2. no file upload size limit. 3. no bandwidth linit. 4. FTP support (New) 5. Best of all its totaly free! Jsonic Server Credit to Koray for helping setup my server just over a year ago.

Hi, Riptor! This game is awsome so far, I like the screen shots too. I can offer Paint Shop Pro skills (I'm not the best) for things like: Character Themed backgrounds (see GamerGuy's SA remix project) and, textures (2D games really don't need this as much as 3D ones do), I don't mind a good challenge from time to time. I'd also like to show you This. Its not mine (I wish I could color pictures on PC like that...) I figured since this is sonic & knuckles related, I'd show it to you. If you deside to use it in the tittle screen (not that your is bad, your works grate too.) give credit for it of corse. I can help give it transperencies if you need it, I can even do alpha blended transperencies. I also do a little 3D modeling but that about all I can offer. anyway, grate game so far (based on the videos and screens). Keep up the good work. Welcome to SFGHQ forums BTW!

ok guys, back on topic here. what ever the speed it, it seems to be working just fine. now that the FTP service is working, who wants FTP added to there account?

From my understanding, your suposed to be able to download from my server at 265Kbps and upload to my server at 208Kbps. over all, I have found that I have a low end DSL connection. DSL is a broadband connection type right? and your files where never really currupted, it was just a problem with my server sending them back out to you and anyone els trying to download your files. but thats fixed now.
