  1. Out of curiousity, can't you have someone else run the server while you're on duty, rather than just abandon it? EDIT: By "abandon" I mean "leave the server with nobody around to maintain it"
  2. I'm glad people are finding this useful. If you need any other tilesets ripped like this, just ask. It doesn't take me very long to make these.
  3. Here you go. Only took me 10 minutes to make. Make sure to read the readme file.
  4. So far Platinum is good. Already played through Diamond some time ago so I decided to have some fun with this game (e.g.: I used PokeSav Platinum to make some Pokemon eggs to have a more unique party at the start instead of fire monkey + Shinx for the first few areas) Also I really enjoy the puzzle-based Gyms they made
  5. I know. It's fairly easy to manually split into three pieces: the bottom row, and the two sides. I already have it split in MMF.
  6. Except I prefer consistency with the pallete. It matches the rest of the original sheet =( EDIT: Mega thanks to Rael's help, here's a version for Amesuki's recolored tileset that is actually usable: Note that the other version I posted earlier, which Amesuki edited, isn't really usable - I added extra stuff to it that made it impossible to use in a fangame. This lacks those limitations! But you have to add the extra details yourself, which isn't hard as they were taken off the sheet. =P
  7. I'm actually in the process of doing it all over again with your edit of the tileset.
  8. And have to completely re-do all the shadowing under the grass, which I did by hand?
  9. You know what this tileset could use?
  10. They all freeze here: Please reupload inside ZIP files. Or is there a specific reason why everyone contributing is avoiding making smaller downloads?
  11. Strange, I was playing Halo 3 co-op last night after getting the update on Friday and I had no problems whatsoever o.o
  12. Made this a while back (credit SEGA): Note that, due to how the graphics are compressed, I really wasn't able to get the item box icons. I also had to manually draw, by hand, using a paused Sonic Rush on my DS with an item box in view as a reference, a large portion of the item box itself. However, the item box icons are identical in style to the ones used in Sonic Advance 1-3, so as long as you can find a good item box rip from one of those games, you can just transplant the icon into the blank box on the left. This way, you can make items not present in Sonic Rush, like the Speed Shoes on the right.
  13. Thanks! Is it the latest one with the preliminary special stages?
  14. I've tried all of those, plus different computers, plus getting it through AIM from a friend. All the same problem. Something is screwy with my internet and any files with an extension that starts with M
  15. Would it be possible to post these inside a ZIP or RAR? For some reason my computer does not like downloading .MFAs as-is :S
  16. Not too bad! However, I have some complaints. 1) The water slide doesn't make the player slide, rather it makes him bounce. 2) I see you're recycling resources from Diablohead's ancient TGF engine. So I'd suggest you replace that "GET AIR" text with, say, a countdown like in regular Sonic games? 3) Something in this engine that has always bugged me from day one is still present: when taking damage, the player is bounced in the wrong direction. Because of this, a lot of enemies and hazards just stun Sonic, because he immediately stops and regains some lost rings. 4) If you keep pressing the switch, the door will keep opening. Could possibly be fixed with a flag that is set when the door is opened, so it won't keep opening anymore. All in all, not too bad! Lots of room for improvement, though.
  17. That's not Super Mario Bros., that's Super Mario Land, for the Game Boy.
  18. Multimedia Fusion 2 runs very well under WINE, and the Professional version can make stand-alone games with a Java runtime, so the game can be played on virtually any OS. (MMF2 Standard can only make Java applets, which is essentially a multi-platform Vitalize runtime.) Game Maker is a no-go for Linux, WINE is known to be incompatible with Game Maker-created games. However, you're probably looking for something native to Linux. This will prove to be tricky, as many people assume that if you're using Linux, you can code a game from scratch and don't need any sort of game creation environment. So your best bet is to learn a programming language like Python and use one the the many free game engine kits on the internet.
  19. Okay and do you know what the origin point of this model is? It's the 3D equivalent of a hot spot, for simplicity. If it's directly in the center of your mesh then it should show up fine (you may need to fiddle with the zoom), otherwise the displacement may be causing trouble. If you're still having trouble, PM me the model file and I'll see what I can do for you.
  20. Are you sure the format is correct? The 3D Mesh object is based on Irrlicht, so you should use a format like .x, .obj, or .md2 - best bet is .obj. If you're just trying to load the .an8 from Anim8or, then there's your problem!
  21. Personally I prefer modding uxtheme.dll and using unsigned Visual Style themes, since it requires a lot less software purchasing and utilizes functions already present in Windows.
  22. For those you will need The Games Factory, Click n' Create, or Multimedia Fusion - game making products by Clickteam that have been used by the SFGHQ community for a lot longer time before Game Maker started popping up. You can get the latest product, Multimedia Fusion 2, from their site.
