This was posted here a while ago, but yeah- youtube thread. Some songs sound better with no lyrics and any song could have lyrics that make absolutely no sense, just as long as it follows the beat and sounds nice. Good lyrics (In as what they mean) is an added bonus for me, not necessary.

I like the way Sonic looks there, the HUD looks a little odd in that picture for some reason.

Note- This isn't the debate forum or General Discussion, this isn't being posted to be talked about with the community, it's the only section vaguely similar to what I need. That being said if you have any questions/comments/interest- please PM me, I won't be responding to jackassery or the standard snide comments in this this thread, nor will I pay any attention to them. This is a potential job posting. Just as the title says. I need a musician for hire. You will be responsible for creating all the sound aspects to a commercial game (Meaning hopefully there will be profit) This is a start-up venture for myself and I am not musically inclined, therefore I am exploring my options on who I can hire for music/sfx creation. I would prefer someone living in NYC but I can work with the right person through the internet (Paid through paypal). All songs/sound will need to be completely original works and encoded using a lower bitrate (8-11khz, I don't want MP3 quality- think Sega Genesis or NES sounding music). Think of it as making music for a fangame, except it's not your own game (I will need to work with the artist to get the right sound, although I am giving a lot of freedom in this department), and you'll need to be able to get the job done(I don't want to release engine test #10 in 2 years and still be nowhere near completion), and you'll be getting paid. On to pay, previously mentioning that this is a start-up, I am not expecting any professionals and please don't expect me to pay you like one. It's good to know how much you're worth but I just don't have the crazy cash flow to pay you like one. Everyone needs to earn their way to that type of pay and if you think you have, you might want to check monster.com or email Nintendo or something, this job is too small/beneath you're talents/pay grade. Of course, if we end up making a great project together- why would I want to try working with anyone else? I'm of the school of thought that when I make more money, those involved should make more money as well. Also, this project is still at the beginning stages, and will take months to complete. I am simply trying to explore my options for musicians at this point and decided to check here first. Please PM your rates along with previous works so I can get a feel for the type of artist you are.

The 8 months will be no big deal at all, it's standard for these kind of deals and I am sure he will be offered something by next week. The only real bitch is if they will take money away from what they settled on depending if he gets another job. Like if he gets a 25mil contract with Fox, NBC will only have to pay him 7mil.

The whole thing is moot anyway because you don't even get that from people who get paid sometimes :X What I am saying is that there were people working on this who could/or are doing it for a living and yet despite that, the Sonic 3D Fangame curse strikes again :0 With professionals in these type of fields you'll often find them working hard, if not harder on their personal/side projects than their paid projects. Doesn't mean they aren't working at their normal job, but you get it.

Another Sonic 3D fan project bites the dust then. Only this time with some professionals involved!
