Follow up: beat it today, traded it in for $15 on Senran Kagura.

Sonic Lost World (Wii U) I picked it up a few days ago on a whim, and I'm already regretting the decision. The game's piss poor attempts to be Super Mario Galaxy are glaringly obvious, and the engine is broken in so many ways. The Deadly Six is Sega's lamest character attempt yet, and the level designs are a huge step back from anything in Colors or Generation. I'd also like to add that played for laughs or not, Steena's portrayal is one of the most offensive characterizations of a female character in a video game yet. Only thing I've seen worse in is Ground Zeroes.

Fire Emblem Awakening was pretty fucking fantastic, so I'd definitely consider that a close 6th in my list.

Yeah, if you can't even follow your own guidelines don't expect others to. So in no particular order: Persona 4 Golden, Dynasty Warriors 8, Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy X, Puyo Puyo Tetris.

I've been pleased with all of the updates so far. 2 of my rotations (Luigi and Sonic, Wolf and Jigglypuff still MIA) from the last game are confirmed and I'm looking forward to the power ups that Zero Suit Samus is receiving.

If there's one thing I love about the genre, it's giant bosses that take up 3/4 of the screen.

As an old school Sonic fan I feel like I'm betraying my allegiance, but honestly... I don't see a problem with any of this (save for one thing) The athletic tape does seem a bit odd, but I guess the spatting does make sense due to the fact that these characters are always running. Blue arms makes sense since it fits in with the rest of the character designs. (Although Amy's lack of pink arms is a question.) Knuckles being buffer and dumber fits with how he's been pretty much potrayed in any sort of capacity, granted he's much less serious now. Really my only problem is this push for Amy to be "one of the boys" with a design that screams bad deviantArt design, although thankfully she's not the walking 12 year old panty shot she has been. Still not keen on her default expression of eye-fucking Sonic, but whatever. Game wise the gameplay looks fairly solid, although my only experience with Sanzaru Games is Sly 4 (which was actually pretty bad) and Sly HD (which was actually really good) Big Red Button is a new studio but has experience, so I think we can be enthusiastic about that. Hell, even the cartoon looks amusing. The focus as a comedy seems right, and I think it should hit the right notes that shows like My Little Pony FIM and The Looney Tunes show hit. So yeah, I'm optimistic, and willing to add Sonic Boom to my list of reasons I might eventually buy a Wii U.

I am frankly surprised that Sega's shitty localization policies didn't seep into Atlus. Still, I'm willing to admit that I was wrong in this regard. That being said: Sega's own localization policies still suck.

When I first started up Lightning Returns I really didn't like it, but I started over and gave it a fresh start today and now I'm absolutely loving it. I'm also working on Bravely Default (Fantastic) and FF14.
