  1. Was for a party, not trick or treating, and I may have been Luigi, but still, Mama Mia!
  2. Never post a thread like this ever again.
  3. http://www.geocities.com/nitemaredahedgehog/SonicAdvanceSprites.zip I have that but it's old and rubbish. I don't know if it'll be any help.
  4. Thanks lovelies, unfortunately i had to work today and yesterday, as well as two parties last night and the night before, and then one more in an hour or so, i'm pretty much dead. It's been fun. Very few presents, a couple of t-shirts and art stuff for college, and this would be why: Rover 114gsi. It may be a rover, and not quite what I had in mind for my first car, but it is really fun to drive so i'm not bothered. My parents rock. Thanks again people.
  5. Seriously watch yourself blazefire, none of the mods bought your brother crap and are all keeping an eye on you. Also don't continue this on people and repeat what I said, keep on topic.
  6. Check PMs saxman, if you havn't already.
  7. The negative rep was from sonic122, Worm. It seems I can't remove it either, so put up with it for a bit and i'll try and do something about it. Oh and i'll make sure to speak to sonic122 too. Fun.
  8. I would like to add to what Euan said, I've attempted projects before with groups of people (SG & Ristar, holy ____ we need to pick up that Framed Legacy thing ;P) and they've always resulted in failure, yet, with XG it has been very different. Me and Euan had been mates for a good while, and not just 'internet' mates, although we've never met, we have always discussed sexy woman problems and such, we both have similar tastes in music, a similar sense of humour and similar social lives, pretty much how one can interact with a real life friend. This being what keeps XG going so well, we never really argue about anything, and can easily decide something to be done/changed, knowing the other will agree. And also we have completely opposite skills, although I can sprite alright if need be, it's just no way near on the level Euan does, and the same with programming, just vice versa. I don't even know what the point of explaining that was, but it might be useful to those thinking of making a team. You can't just 'form' a team upon command, they form themselves, otherwise you just have a big useless mess.
  9. Sent, although I do believe it's possible to open applications without the required extension for MMF2, only you cannot run it, havn't tried this yet though.
  10. Other than adjusting the values, their really isn't anything you can do (unless you want to stick with 50fps for the sake of staying with something you're used to, I keep coding things in XG and then finding them to be too fast and having to rework it ;P). Just divide any value used by 60 and multiply it by 50, it should stay the same speed.
  11. http://www.geocities.com/nitemaredahedgehog/SonicAdvanceSprites.zip I have that from a while ago, hot spots are pretty off in places but it might be of some use.
  12. I'm not sure if you're an old member that took a long vacation and I've been unknown to your existance all the while, or perhaps an older member under a new alias, or heck, you may even be just new to SFGHQ with impaired visions of superiority and a horrible past reputation. Either way, you seem misguided as to how SFGHQ works. First off, you're creating your own rules for the members to abide by, and interesting rules at that. Moderators create the rules, and at the moment we have restrained from this in hope to create a much more laid back atmosphere around the board, this doesn't give you any right to do so instead. What intruiges me more is your attempt to spark rules we have never even enforced previously. Members have never needed proof of a project in order to obtain assistance with it, your presence doesn't and never will alter this, they may still request help with or without the so called 'pudding' you speak of. Second, 'someone sticky this'. Demanding a moderator to sticky some new profound rule of yours just isn't a good idea, especially when they are as awful as this. I've studied it for several minutes, trying my best to derive a use, I struggled. Eventually I backed away from what was a mountainous challenge and decided it was merely a grasp for power, nothing more. There is so little benefit I even pondered for but a moment on what you might have meant, that maybe you failed to express your idea in a logical manner understandable by others and were actually presenting us with something that could actually enhance the community. Did my pondering prevail? It did not, so if I am mislead in anyway as to what the initial plans were, PM me. Otherwise, no.
  13. That hit the nail on the head. The engine can modify gravity to any angle, however, due to the nature of gravity effecting the majority of zone objects, only 0 and 180 degrees are ever going to be used in-game. And it is being made in MMF so I may release some tutorials at some point, I don't think it will be for a while though, it's nice to have a certain enigma surrounding it. Thanks for all the comments anyway, glad to know you all like what we're doing with it. Edit: For anyone who read the post before editing, forget what I said. I shall release detailed guides on how to create certain features upon request after XG has been released for a bit. After much consideraton I would rather keep my methods quiet for now. ;P
  14. Good job taking it off topic folks, I don't think it really matters too much how old any member is. It may seem unlikely that Vercon is nine, however that doesn't mean you have to challenge it via the generalisation of a specific age group, as long as you give constructive criticism it shouldn't matter whether something was created by a two year old or leonardo da vinci. I was going to lock this but it seems to have cleared up. Be nice. ;P
  15. Enginey update: Just so you know more is going on that just looking a bit sexy thanks to Euan, I thought i'd add some stuff from the current going-ons in the XG engine. Also, a video of it as I don't think many people have actually seen it running yet. Characters and the gravity change a bit suddenly as I was using debug, ignore that. ;P http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a149/jwaters1989/?action=view&current=SonicXGavi.flv
  16. I would rather have Top Gear back on, I can't believe they would stop it for something like this.
  17. Inking is brilliant, great job there. The pose however seems really awkward, the arms and head look too much as if she were facing right with breasts on her back. Might want to try and rework them into something more natural. Also the ass could do with being smaller, but that might just be me as I have a great dislike for such things when they're anything other than people. ;P
  18. Nitemare

    Hallo

Vortex as in, VortexXTeam, or whatever it was called? Anyway, welcome.
  19. You're All I Wanna Do - Cheap Trick
  20. Blaze did it in 0"29"950, and got a time bonus of 32250. You did it in 0"23"850, and got a lower time bonus of 32000. I don't know how the time bonus system works, but that seems a tad weird. This seems quite nice anyway, the engine is a bit jumpy in places and level design could be improved. (Seems very advance currently, could do with with a few more interesting obstacles and slower sections.) Otherwise, fun.
  21. Or something. This looks fun anyway, just make yourself some spiffier backgrounds.
  22. I don't quite understand your 'slogans'. You can't teach Sega something they did over fifteen years ago, and it would be somewhat more professional to create the base yourself rather than use someone elses. ;P Anyway, the edges of 'ProSonic' seem a bit rough, font colours seem a bit out of place, and the bevel effect is a tad nasty. Sort these out and they should look pretty pimping.
  23. Progress is slow because me and Euan have been awesomely sociable recently and havn't really felt like doing much. Everything is planned to some extent though, so it's just a case of us becoming a tad more motivated.
  24. I'm happy with my Mega Drive for now.
