  3. Thought I might as well post a few shots of what I intend to release a demo of at SAGE, it's all going pretty smoothly at the moment so I'm hoping to have something pretty decent ready by then. I'm keeping it all very simple, there's no real story other than Peach got kidnapped by Bowser again, thus, Mario has to go save her by playing through all the Kingdoms. (There's gonna be eight, one being the Mushroom Kingdom, all connected together so you can travel between them via pipes and such.) Crit away, will try to get a few new shots up every so often.   6. Yeah we are, it's coming along slow as Euan, Taxman and myself are always a bit busy. Also Hapi-San that looks pimp.

  9. This is all awesome, will have to start doing something similar as I havn't had too much practice recently. Also just curious, may I ask what you're doing at the moment college/university wise?
  10. Okay some weird new stuff for you all, a friends currently doing a games design course in uni and he's asked me to lend a hand with his project. Thought I'd show off what we've been up to. This is right at the start where the character is shot out of the ball pit. (Balls in the pit all bounce around and occasionally fire out across the level.) Main character, I don't really know what he is but he has awesome spidery legs so he's quite agile and can cling to stuff with them. Has an orange counter-part that you can swap to at anytime with different abilities. http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff205/josephwaters/c4.gif (This one's pretty big) This is the design of the environment, it's all constantly animated nice and smooth to give it all a very 'alive' feel. Idle worms tend to just sit and murmur to themselves and watch the player if he's nearby, they also occasionally snack on the brightly coloured balls being shot about and sometimes sing to each other! They don't pose any threat to the main character however. The bad guys! They enjoy chasing the main character and leaping at him, they're also able to merge together to form bigger versions of themselves. It's in early stages at the moment but I thought i'd post it, see what you all think.
  11. We just recently starting selling coffee syrups at work, when the stock arrived for some reason they had sent us a crate of beef bovril as well. (No idea why or how, we've never needed it.) I figured I'd make a latte using a syrup shots worth of beef bovril just out of interest, not expecting it to be too bad, and I can honestly say it's the worst thing I've ever tasted, there's no way I can describe what it's like. Also got all but one of the staff to try it, none of them even managed to swallow and two ran off to throw up. So yeah, that was a pretty stupid idea.

  13. WIP =O Got bored earlier so did some messing about in MMF and Photoshop 'cause I havn't had a chance to in ages (woo college), not really sure what it'll be used for, if anything.

  15. I'm not sure if that'll be the final size, but Sonic XG ran at around 32mb which was the combined size of the .exe, sprite folder and music folder. Can't think of any reason why yours would be so high though, unless you're using alot of mp3s and such throughout?
