So I've sound a bunch of qualifiers with numbers and generic icons. How do I find out what these do and how important are they when creating gimmicks?

Ok, take what ila suggested (with making blocks stay lit) and add "prism" blocks that sonic can shine to create rails. This addition would allow for more variety in the secret paths you can uncover.

I read your tutorial and have been poking around the files in the game engine, but I can't find what makes the gimmicks work. If I want to make new gimmicks or robots, where should I look?
