  1. Best way to play it is however like any other sonic game though. With a controller. Asigning keys wasn't as easy as it should (especially the right analog) but it made the game play really well for me. I love how the controls are in this game especially how fluid the rolling movement is, kind of similar to sa1 and 2
  2. As a concept it is great. It'd be cool if you could pull that off, but just showing a picture and asking whether it would be great doesn't do anything. But yeah it'd be cool
  3. Turn the homing attack into a shield. The simple jump and aim with instashield works just as well as any other game with spin attacks. I like it. If the majority vote however wants the HA, i can understand.
  4. @Lake: I tested it on 2 fast computers and on both it happens. It may be OS related but from now i'll just leave it for what it is. I haven't heard anyone else point this out so it may just be me. I'll look into it eventually. Btw try to make the spikes at the boss for Cyan city zone more randomly apearing. They change now only when u hit him but that makes the boss way too predictable and easy.
  5. Yeah I agree with WAC. You don't wanna reward the player for not exploring and instead hurrying to the end. It's mostly the other way around ^^(well in games with collectables at least) Anyway I wanted to make sure of myself which OST was really the better one, and after comparing both, defenitly the new one. I'd say 90% of the replacements are better. I do think however that Titanic Tower's previosu tracks were overall better. I am a huge fan of terminal velocity's track, actually sonic colors' ost in general. but what replaced them still was still good enough. I didn't like Sunset star music at all, but when I heard the credit music, all of a sudden it sounded great, though the original act 3 music(I think it was from DS winter olympics) was still more fitting. And yeah... act 2's music is still terrible. Oh what a terrible song
  6. Well I just finished this game again now, but this time I managed to get the good ending, and wow. Man the music really really managed to lift up the experience to a much higher level. I gotta say I really love this game more than before and think it is very special. Falk and all the others. O my god, you guys did such an amazing job. You know what I love most about the music? I did't even consider them all to be "excellent", but for some reason, they just stick in the head hence becoming very memorable. At the credits when all the tracks passed I found myself loving every single one of em.... well.... except for sunset star act 2. Having to collect those stars and then dying a few times only made matters worse. I'm not gonna lie and say that I really hate the guts of that track now XD. I am really serious about that. Also the credit music with the vocals was really beautiful. I like how you adjusted the boss designs a little bit Lake. The unlockables at the end are also a great adition. I'll defenitly replay the game sometime. Good luck with ATS and while you're at it, try and make it the best you can. From what i've played it allready surpassed BTS. Falk, you are an amazing composer. I think Arcane Altitude is defenitly your peak in the game and it feels amazing to be close at the end and hear those amazing tracks. Defenitly use those as standards for composing your next tracks. I hope you'll work on ATS as well. And in reply to your TL;DR at retro, good luck if a career is possible. You should defenitly be able to make it if you find the right people with the right game.
  7. About the slowdown. I now defenitly know it's not hardware related. I noticed the fps goes down for a slight few seconds after a cycle of 15 seconds. I really would like to know wether more people are getting this, if so, then I hope Lake can figure out what is causing it
  8. I think you took my post the wrong way so no nEed to be angry. All I was saying is that I and some others find satisfaction when games straight up encourage us to play at our best. If you don't agree, that is fine. No need to call it dumb ya know. @Strife That seems like a very reasonable decision
  9. I just read your comment at retro about the difficulty. If you ask me, the difficulty is good. The people who would complain about such a thing are used to playing easy games that don't require mastering, but this game does requires some time to master. I had a hard time with the bosses and some of the enemies because I still hadn't mastered the controls, but it becomes easy once you do. I mean, what is the problem with dying at the first level, being forced to play better to progress? See that's what potentially is going to make freedom planet a great game, because everything about your game makes it worth it to progress. If you would adjust the difficulty, I hope it would only be slightly. Just wanted to say this
  10. Wow this was excellent. I just wrote a thorough post on ATS, but i'm keeping this one short. This game + finished = a real AAA product. Brilliant work Strife. This SAGE again has allready surpassed the previous one.
  11. Allright, so I played the game as well, and... First things first, I gotta get this out and make it clear. You have improved from before the sequel on so many levels that no doubt is after the sequel a much better game allready. I guess it goes without saying that it is what you tried and aimed for from the beginning. But there's your confirmation lol, even if you may have thought it yourself allready. Now more into details, this may probably become long, but consider this as something i'm giving you back for the amazing present you are giving to me/us. Edit: Well this became much longer than I expected 0_0 Anyway I am really sorry for this TL;DR but I hope you apreciate it. I would say keep up the good work Lake. There doesn't need to be much said except for that. I really hope one day you can grow with the graphics in the sense of higher resolution. I think both of your games have amazing gameplay and music, but I feel if it had more high quality graphics, the games would only benefit from it. Nonetheless, the graphics you made are amazing. You improved alot with your spriting . I hope alot of people will notice your brilliant game, kudos.

  15. You just made another day for me lake. I may not express as many words as I used to, as it would just be repeating the same thing over and over again. You're really good lake and keep up the good work. Looking forward to the release and i'm allready sure that it's going to be an unforgettable experience. I just told it to a friend of mine, but your game looks like something that would be a masterpiece if it came out officially with todays gen technoligy. But personally I don't care for all that, you've done a great job with the resources you have. Those are some beautiful graphics and show to have been made with so much care and determination. The best part is that you're really doing this voluntarily for yourself and others to enjoy. I sincerely think you got talent and deserve more in return.   16. Hi there vexer, glad to see you are improving your game. I just started up the latest mediafire download version of axiom, and i start at steel station. Don't know if it's just me but I can't get to the menu at startup because it sends me right to steel station everytime I do start it up. There was also a strange bug that happened in the steel station level. After a special stage i reapeared at the capsule(the thing you gotta crash after the boss), skipping the boss and after that, instead of progressing, I went straight to the first level of the game. I... I is confused man

  18. I am speechless. As if the prEvious video wasnt good enough and then this looks so much better again. Strife you are good at this man, and im not just talking about regular good but i think you would belong in the gaming biz with the pros because that aint no ordinary game dude.   19. Hez, you are to me one of the greatest fangame(or perhaps general games if you will) makers out there together withe lakefepard to me. I love how you guys make "engaging" yet the same time fair sonic games. It's as if you guys put much thought into those kind of things during the process. Albeit alittle slow, neat video. Nice shields there but I hope changing shields doesnt have to stop the flow each time. Well its optional anyway heh. Cant wait and as much I loved sonic classic 1, I do hope this one will be less glitchy lol *major thumbs up Edit: Lol well, I hope that song for labyrinth zone gets replaced in the final build. Also nice tease at the end heh
