Hey man, looking good, quite impressed. If ya need music or stuff later down the road, I may jump in.
Feedback though (mostly from a friend of mine)...
The jump looks way too weighted, the particles don't home in on Sonic too well.
The fighting engine is rad, love how you incorporated speed into fighting. The end of those pummel combos has too long of a time stop effect. Attacks should affect all enemies they make contact with. Kinda strange how it only affects just one that you started attacking.

I meant GSF, not ya.
Great job on the OST!

It's funny you say Nagunama, when Nagunama did Rush, not Advance

By designing levels, do you expect us to be good at modelling or just sketching out and elaborating?
I've had my fair share of level designing experience with 2D (Overture for example) and I've made some 3D level design too.
I've been looking forward to your project for a long time but unfortunately, I'm too busy but I'd still love to advise where I can.
Really hope you find the best person for this and that it /finally/ happens.

I think Plom should go on. It's all a learning experience dude. Just try your best and if ya can't satisfy some people now, I'm sure you can later on. It takes time to improve.

So, yeah, your music rocks.
Thanks, updated my post above too! XD

I make music, Sonic Generations mods and I'm a level designer. I also am a video editor.
I make music of varied genres. If you got a project and you're wondering if I'll jump on aboard, feel free to ask. Here's my Soundcloud in case you want to check out my content: https://soundcloud.com/gottagofas
I've taken part in quite some mods but the only mod I have 'finished' is Frog Forest. I'm no know-it-all in modding, but I guess I'm good enough.
I make level designs and concepts. If you need some advice on that or some help, you know you can come to me!
I also make trailers and things like that. I've made Edge of Darkness' SAGE 2014 Act 2 trailer and Frog Forest's release trailer.

Having many models is bad as there are far too many sides that will cause loading times to be slow and for the game to run.. slow. Having too huge models, will cause glitches such as now loading in time, sudden slowdowns, and maybe freezes. It should be done stretch by stretch, it's how Sonic Team did it in Generations, Unleashed, Heroes and Adventure. A mid point between both I guess.

Heh, I guess the camera does need a lot of work. I've only been focusing on character physics, but some proper camera controls would help with testing that too. I suppose that'll be my next goal, then. After that it'll be water and crouching physics.
You can take notes from Generations for cameras and splines. I might be able to help you if ya need references as to how things are done. (I've wrote the Retro guide for Generations splines)
In the worst case, I hope you put the camera at least always behind Sonic, kind of locked.
Really love your engine and if it's easy to use, I could make a fangame!

At least the people who have submitted vids/demos of the games being entered should get previews.
Yeah man, I really hope we actually remember to do this.

If I may suggest, to avoid issues regarding music next time, we could make a poll of what music should be put into the trailer. Maybe a choice between 3-5 songs that don't burst one's eardrums?
I think if we had the Skype chat we could've asked easily but nope, now we have a chatroom that's mostly uneventful bleh.
We'll see I guess but yeah, more people should be involved in the choices made and definetly more people need to preview the trailer before it goes public.

I really do think Highwire or I should handle the next trailer. I've been doing video editing for about 4 years and if anyone needs a demo reel, feel free to ask. If you all wait, you can see Edge of Darkness' trailer (which I hope works out well).
Good luck to all the games coming up here and I'm glad the problems are solved but this is still far from the standard we should've set. Let's not make this kinda mistakes again.

I've tried reaching him on Skype. But he just doesn't reply sometimes for some reason, I'm guessing he's busy.
He's working on the song for one of your stages. I've been talking to him, don't worry.

I'm very happy that Highwire is including interactive music can't wait to see how that goes. Good luck man!

I want to participate in this, but the guy who's making the music just completely disappears. And Delta seems busy still. Dunno if I'll be able to make it. >_>
Off-topic but I've been talking to General Offensive. Haven't you tried getting to him on Skype?
Also I may put in something here, and would like to volunteer to do the trailer for SAGE Act 2.

If you're going with the "What I think is how it should be", then you might as well never ask for feedback at all. That's really not a nice attitude to put up when we're trying to help.
Anyways, yeah the art really needs work. We want the best for this fangame and every fangame, we're trying to help

The bigger displays at the 0:17 section of the video (the Character Select Screen) could use some improvements.
A more stylistic approach showing the whole character and a screen without the Sonic at the back could make the game have a nice presentation and one that doesn't look eh.
Hope you get what I mean c:

Ah I see. Definetly changing the skybox will help, a more early morning feel would be really different and unique. It would work great with what you have too!
-
Looks good and all but it's really rubbing me the wrong way since this tileset is something everybody has used and is using.
Would be nice of you to at least... change the checkers or the shade of the grass.
-
I'll definetely help you out as much as I can, not sure how much my music can fit this game but let's really break the boundaries this time.
I'll help out with the music, I really hope this happens!

Hey, I was wondering if there was a backup of all the SAGE 2014 Act 1 games as I missed a few of them
-
That is wonderful man.
If ya ever need a trailer with all those sparkly effects or some level music and such, you can always approach me cos' this really seems like a project with a lot of potential.
Good luck for SAGE!

Nah, make a fangame that can stick on its own really, especially since to be straightforward, you nor I are major people on the site.
Nexus too has been taken and it's popular so better luck next time! Keep trying~

Aaaah okay. Well then you could lower the hit count for just the first level maybe?

Played the game like four times. It's good pure fun, even though due to having the retro look, situations where you'd think there'd be a path ahead of you but "nope, it's a turn" happens.
The game is a lot more enjoyable with a controller and I recommend it being the optimal way of playing.
