I noticed this today while watching it and I couldn't believe I was noticing this just now after seeing this video thousands of time. Please excuse me if this is "common knowledge". I'm still sorta new to the sonic "community". Okay so about 50-ish seconds into the video, little planet shows sonics face and explodes into little sparkles (seemingly disappearing from existence): However, a few seconds after the explosion when robotnik tries to escape in his little air bike thing and sonic throws a rock at him: It's still there!! I'm just confused, is this a "common knowledge" among Sonic fans or what?

Saw some of the new multiplayer vids of the game. I think it's a fabulous addition to the game, the only thing I would have liked is if the second player was actually a REAL character rather than just a recolored sonic but still cool adtition to the game. Indeed super and fusion are highly recommended by me Rawr. However may I suggest that you play metroid zero mission first. It's a remake of the first metroid game on the nes but with kick ass graphics and updated weapons.

Sadness. I really thought that the game would be badass but as I continued to play the story really doesn't do Samus any justice, like pheonix said. Samus is not the badass chick in a suit here. She's scared at enemies she's already beaten, alot. First person would have been great if you could MOVE. In all, it's a good game, but it's not up to par with the rest of the Metroid series. Oh well, we can always hope for a good metroid game on the 3ds??

I've always enjoyed the original side-scrolling Metroid series and thought each one got progressively better. I wasn't too fond of the prime series but have always thought of Metroid series as a rock, solid, awesome game franchise. But now they're trying to pull a "mario 64" on the series by making the side-scroller into a full 3d game. I just got Metroid the Other M. I'm playing it, lovin it so far.They're really trying to flesh Samus out as a character rather than hot girl in an awesome suit. I thought I'd make this thread for anyone else who got the game and wants to share their thoughts on the game.

I just played the 2nd preview and I am loving the physics on this thing. It could make for an excelent 3d fan game. Nice Man!! Just one little question: How do I access the 2.5d part of the preview. EDIT:^^^Never mind didnt see the 3rd so I downloaded 2nd. XD EDIT (again): OMG Man the 2d section is awesome. It transitions very easily. Very cool.

X would be cool but, yet again, if protoman was added the game would be pure win.

Anyway...I also heard from sonic stadium that they made some changes to his animations. And I quote: Has anyone actually SEEN this update to sonics running animation.

True.......for consoles anyway. However, this is being made on the iPhone too and I know first hand that playing sonic on that platform with only one button is quite difficult. Assigning another would be quite a burden. I think that it would be a wise decision to just take out the homing attack next episode...but I doubt that will happen.

Agreed, the fire shield was win. I don't think it'll appear in this game but we can hope that sega puts them in episode 2. (<---- HINT SEGA!!!)

I am working on a game that takes place a couple of years after sonic cd and involves Little Planet. I wanted a sprite for sonic that captured the "classic" feel that the cd sprite had with giving sonic some age. I saw this sprite online and loved it: However I think the eyes make it just a little modern. But with the addition of sonic cd eyes.... I think it looks pretty good, but I'm still pretty noob to spriting. Any suggestions?
