  2. I know, I could do that, but I prefer to make my own... I already have the new hybrid spindash implemented. It'll be in the next release.
  3. Hmmmmm... Do you like minecraft? I have a Hamachi group and we'd be happy to have you. Other than that, Storytelling is becoming a lost art these days, you'd be hardpressed to find anything with a decent storyline... Maybe Magicka, but I'm pretty sure you can't run that with 1GB of RAM.

  6. Originally It was only the adventure styled spindash, but then I got complaints about it being too overpowered, so I threw in an optional classic spindash. just crouch and tap shift.
  7. Yeah, I've since fixed the spindash. Some people like the adventure spindash, and some like the classic dash, so I've made a hybrid of the two.
  8. @Kessler, looking great! @Cleberson, You've really progressed! The HUD could use some work, but I like where this is going.

  10. I put this in Fangaming Assistance because it didn't fit anywhere else. I was wondering what kind of program I could use to get a smooth video playback. I have FRAPS, but it only records things in fullscreen. Is there anything I could use to get a smooth video?
  11. Looks fantastic! However, I agree with Pixel, his legs could use some widening.
  12. Okay guys, the spindash isn't overpowered anymore, it takes a bit to charge it, and if you try to use it while running you'll roll. I figured you could roll to knock out anything in your way and then jump out of it. This method should stop players from abusing the spindash constantly to the end of the level. I've also gotten an air meter implemented while underwater.

  15. YES. I still like red better. I'm going to assume that the green eyes are a joke. I like both 1 and 2, I think I like 1 better though.
  16. I'll send you some concepts, the level you see in the demo is only there to test the engine, I won't be using it in the final game.

Actually Tails, I've had two of my testers who use Norton say that, It's a false positive, ignore it. @StereoPixel, Actually Renritu is the name of the song, I was hesitant to ask for an original score as I'm fairly new here, if you want to compose some music for the game that would be amazing. @Blazefire, I'll try to meet every criteria you specified, that's a great list of non-bugs that my testers hadn't picked up on.
  19. I think I've got fullscreen to work without over stretched pixels. I've updated the download link. Use W to switch to windowed mode, and E to go fullscreen.
  20. It won't work because a 420x240 resolution won't be supported by monitors, even when scaled up.
  21. Thanks everyone! Lake, I'll definitely take those pointers into consideration, however I'm quite fond of the arrows, I thought they had a nice effect. Tails, I'm actually not sure who made them, and I haven't seen them used anywhere else. But you're welcome to use them. I'll PM them to you. FGR, the video really helps, I haven't had time to make one myself, and my channel is empty and unknown. So you putting that out there should attract a few people. P3DRO, I've actually gotten some complaints about the spindash on another forum, so if you want to use the classic dash, just crouch and tap shift. other than that, I will make it so the adventure spindash takes some charge time. and the level design, as I said before, is only there to test the engine. Chaos Fusion, you're the first person to mention the easter egg. And I thought about fullscreen, but I HATE when pixels get stretched. BlazeFire, I'm glad I could put it to good use. I'll continue to work on the engine and try to address the issues, I'm glad you all seem to enjoy it. For everyone commenting on the music, it says the name of the song down in the bottom right corner when you first start the level. The song I used for this level is an instrumental version of 'Renritu'
