  1. People still talk about 06 like it's still relevent, so I'm not so suprised that Boom is still getting attention.
  2. Oh, so you were thinking about the gameplay engine while I was thinking about the game's general design philosophy.
  3. The thing is, they wern't re-inventing the weel. They took a look at the Adventure games, mashed them up, wrote a shittier story, and rushed it out the door.
  4. This is pretty cool, but I'm wondering how you're going to handle loops and corkscrews? Scripted events like in the Adventures?
  5. I know, but those were monitor icons, and the ring counter was at zero... and you know what happens when you hit a Robotnik monitor in the classics.

  9. What kind of gameplay does this offer? Adventure, Boost, Parkour, or something else? Or are there different options? Otherwise yeah, looking good!
  10. Oh cool! Haven't seen a pirate themed zone in a Sonic game since Rush Adventure... or a fan game, for that matter. Looks really swell.
  11. As far as I can recall, XG was canceled, but Emerald Ties is still going.
  12. Hmm... considering that you're using sprites from the portable games, how about remakes of the Game Gear, Advance, and Rush levels? So that you could make something different for a Generations fan game.
  13. If I recall correctly, the Japanese manuals for Sonic 1-3K stated that each island had it's own set of Emeralds. But the current cannon (if you can call it that at this point) since Adventure had only a set seven of them.

  15. Cool sprite, but the thing that bugged me about Sonic 2 and 3's sprites was that shiny dot on the side of the head. It made Sonic and co. look like they were made of plastic.
  16. Those are some pretty good graphics... so good that the Sonic 1 sprite sticks out like a sore thumb.

  18. Okay, I change my vote to the one on the left. If she's supposed to be serious, I'd think she would wear her hair in a more uniformed fashion.
  19. I'd like to know a bit more about her so I can give you a better choice on her hair style. If you don't want to however, I'd choose the middle.
  20. That snail badnik doesn't fit with the Advance style. You should probably use an enemy from the Advance or Rush/Colours DS set.
  21. ... Deluxe Edition? Is there a previous version of Sonic Boost?
  22. Yeah, the first one fits in better with the pixel art style.
  23. Just watched the trailer, and will play soon. I do have a question though, why are you being so defensive of this not being a traditional Sonic game? I haven't seen anybody actually having a problem with this.

  25. WOW. This game looks a lot better than BTS... ... and BTS was fantastic! Also, have you considered Mighty to be a playable character? He could play like a heavier, stronger Sonic. The bowling ball to Sonic's pinball. I think putting him in could also give your music team more time to work at the soundtrack. All in all, great work, Lake!
