  2. @Blaze: Those tiles are great, dood! I can't wait to see some more.
  3. Sorry about that. Should have looked over my wording in a different perspective. It was a very douche-y thing to say. @TailsSena: I apologize for my rude behavior, I'm not usually like that. =/ Here's somethings I have found when playing your demo that could be improved (if you'd like): The player seems to accelerate to fast, could you slow it down a bit? Maybe make it so if the player goes higher than certain speed his acceleration increases. The jogging up to full running appear all one animation. How about splitting them up into separate animations and making each one play as the player reaches a specific speed. So the player wont go from the full running speed back to walking if it's going slow enough. Increase the speed of the jumping/ rolling animation just a bit. (You could even make it so the animation speed increases the faster Sonic/Any Character is moving. I think it can be done one way by setting the animation speed to abs(xspeed("player")*a number) while action = jumping.) For level design, I suggest you try to make the level in small/medium sized chunks. Or draw out a basic path for the player on some paper, then create separate paths (some having more platforms, others being more loopy, but still take around the same time to pass as the platforming.) Then try to replicate it in the program while adding decoration as you feel necessary. Waterfalls are lovely, aren't they? It would add a boost to you levels design. Add some rocks , flowers, and maybe shrubs around the falls. A bridge across would be really cool to see as well. Perhaps some smaller waterfalls near by? Just giving you ideas of what you can do with an area to make it look full. The location of these special decorations are important too. Putting them in an area where the player just goes by really fast would be a waste. A good spot to have them would be in a platform-y section, where the player is going slow enough to notice what you have done. For speedier sections you could space things out a bit more, and add bigger things. Trees, for instance. Or perhaps some bigger bushes. For the logos: splicing them together is not a great idea, it can damage the quality and look a bit odd. If you would like the source of the image, just ask. If you'd like a more specific request, make sure to supply the smaller details. (I know I just did it for fun, so I'm not aiming this towards my work.) I hope this helps you with your game. I'll be looking out for another release.
  4. Then I have lost all faith in you~ I played your 'demo'. It was wasted space. If that is the extent of your creativity, why are you making a game? ...
  5. 320x240 is not a tiny resolution. It's the perfect res for 2D Sonic games, IMO. Having a huge res means you need more objects to fill the scenery. If its based off Rush/Adv, you'd be going by to fast to even care about it. About the badnik thing, if you know how to make a Sonic Adv camera it shouldn't be a problem. If you know how to design levels and place enemies in the right spot it shouldn't be a problem.
  6. ....;_; Um, I'll try to make that work.
  7. Bold? Do you mean in the same font? None of the fonts on that logo are in bold. o.o
  8. ! I saw that people were making logos, so I thought I could try (if that's okay): I'm thinking about changing that lighter blue around the WORLDS to the blue outline on SONIC..
  9. For the HUD I would recommend making the blue gradient a bit lighter so that the black on the characters is darker than it. Other than that it looks fabulous~ :3
  10. AA? I thought it was like a motion blur effect on the character. Either way, I agree with Blazefire. The screen shots are lovely though! From what I can see, the level has just the right amount of detail. It's like looking at a Sonic Advance 2 picture w/ more modern features. @LH: Those crystal tiles are amazing! Perhaps you could add more color variations to the crystals? The background is looking great as well.
  11. Hello! My friend, BlazefireLP and I are working on a Sonic game, and have hit a wall. Neither of us know how to create a pulley system similar to the one in Route99 in Sonic Advance 3. Like this: If anyone could help us, we would be very grateful!
  12. I can see the video just fine. (It looks great so far)
  13. If you're in a bad mood, don't post. Simple as that. I was being sarcastic. Learn to take a joke.
  14. Just like when I made the original Sonic Future. xD Good times~ EDIT: Wait, Caleb... Quit describing yourself. =P
  15. No, the name and over complicated story are not being used anymore. Instead we are working on a much simpler, more organized game. So far, it's looking great.
  16. This is a big improvement (even though it doesn't seem like it) over the original Sonic Future. Ugh, now that I think about it, the game's design and story were terrible. Hold-right to win levels that lasted not even a minute, fan characters running wild, poor knowledge of the program.. Yeah, bad. I'm glad you asked to take it over, Caleb. If not, it would be collecting dust in my computer still.. Sonic's design looks great. Just remember, don't copy someone else's style. >.<
  17. What happened to the logo? Where'd the alpha and transparency go? I all made it to his specifications. -.- Original: http://www.majhost.com/gallery/MrHobbers/Logos/Gifts/sonic_edge_of_darkness.png
  18. Wow, I feel like such an idiot. I can't believe I thought that Blaze was actually Rael. And I was using Team Viewer with a mod of FGX. So, yea, pretty stupid of me~ Oh well, at least everything is cleared up.
  19. No problem, I like seeing something new for a sonic engine... And i've been having some problems with the homing attack code too. I might be doing something wrong though. Still very good update to the engine/ again..
  20. This is a very nice update to the Sonic Revival engine! I just wish i could figiure out how to put that homing attack into the Genesis engine. (it wont work)... Anywho... I like that you added the Button thing to the engine, exept, instead of stoping sonic in mid air, why not just Slxow down the room speed for that amount of time? One of my favorite things added was the homing attack! It was Perfect! The Boost I found some trouble using though.. Hobbes~
