  1. So this is how it goes: I give you two types of riddle about a game, character or add-on, like the one shown below. One is a regular riddle that can be answered in this chat, and there's a bonus PM riddle which is even harder than the regular riddle. When you answer one, you must provide explanations for each line in the riddle to show why it's this game/character/software to you. If you answer correctly, you'll win 5 (or 10 for PM riddles)! All points are ranked in a leaderboard, and the one with the most points by the end of the month will win a badge! Regular - 5 Points They had sic beats despite being "foreign", Gross names. Fun gameplay. Weird world to explore in. PM Riddle - 10 Points Glitch into a wall to get to the end. Fun to debug And put your favorite stuff in. Have fun!

  2. "Stunt Race XF" or just XF, is a game inspired by our good old racing games of the past, such as top gear and Stunt Race FX. The game right now is just about getting to the end and racing against the time. Download Link Screenshots:

  3. If you were around for SAGE and saw me streaming, there's a good chance you saw me plugging my series, Neo Reviews. Well, all summer I've been telling myself I should get back into the swing of making videos and now I finally have! Neo Reviews is my series where I review games (usually older, sometimes obscure titles) and maybe other things in the future. I just released my first episode in over a year, a review of Shovel Knight. This game reminded me why I liked to game in the first place and was kind of the push that got me back into it. My plan is try to get at least one review a month out, while also releasing other things as well. Here's a couple others I've done so far, probably my favorites I'd reckon. So I'm throwing this out here as both a publicity thing (because hey, knowing people are watching is nice!) but also as a means for feedback! I know my microphone setup isn't the greatest and is unfortnately inconsistent, but aside from that, I'm open to suggests and comments. Plus, if you've got any games you'd like to see or think I should review, let me know!

  5. I've beaten Sonic 2 more double the amount of any other sonic game, and I had a hard time noticing any real differences between the genesis version and taxman remake. It's pretty irrelevant. Anyway i've been against the whole "1:1 sonic experience" thing when I developed the biased idea that fangames have all become boring because of it. In the least, Sonic Hacks avoid one usual issue that fangames have, which is being underdeveloped or buggy. They more commonly feel complete because they're created with pre-determined limitations on what the creator can add. Also, I laugh at the concept of Taxman's remake being an official sega product...there's some sweet irony about it that i just cant put my finger on.

  6. What's even the purpose of this thread aside from taking cheap shots at the hacking community?

  7. I thought you were talking about something minimal. I agree with you that the art direction should match. An animation should look like it's in time with the action happening. You're also right about sound quality. There should be no excuse for low quality assets nowadays given the accessibility of high speed internet connections and content out there. I was also referring to fan games, not recreations. Even then, minor differences on animations or sounds wouldn't really be a problem as long as the gameplay isn't drastically affected by it. At that point, it's just a purist thing if it's not 1:1.
