  1. It is animated in flash but when I get it all done properly Ill "port" it over to other platforms.
  2. Thank you. Need to actually animate it. Thought it may be cool if it contained sprites from different fan games or well known sprites from the site. So there are a few that can be randomised much like the Retro ones.
  3. Well I did want it to have a little animation before and since objects that make games are part of fan games. Here is a little test... TEST, not polished at all but an idea.
  4. This is separate from the project I am working on (yes YI inspired), its less to do with it but something to show off. I was working on a splash screen for SFGHQ and this is what I came up with. I know its a bit pompous to change the branding of the site, but the current branding is not in my opinion the best, and needs a bit of tweaking before it looks professional - as professional as it could be, if you understand all that. I haven't animated anything yet, but the idea I had was for several pieces of fan gaming sprites for rings, springs, bumpers ect. to fall into the text behind the white outline. Or something like that, to distinguish it from the Sonic Retro splash but to keep it in line with it, since it was another splash screen I was using.
  5. Some graphics I'm working on a unique spin on the series... well not unique but yeah ok.
  6. I am not sure how you are doing, I did make a palette changing tutorial on the site but never explained how to do different effects. Maybe have a separate object and do the colour swap on that object, and just copy the same events of that to Sonic so they change in time. But with this palette object you could use an extension (I'm not sure if there is one for MMF2) where you locate and return the RGB values from the colour of the palette so that when you want to change a colour instead of enter values it locates the colour the palette is at the moment.
  7. Yeah but also with rain, it isn't always diagonal and isn't always vertical. I am not sure what program you are using but is there a way to skew it in game, or rotate it so it goes more: 1. | | | | | | | | | | | | 2. / / / / / / / / / / / / 3. | | | | | | | | | | | | 4. \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ It would change (like the wind changing how it falls, randomly) But the amount and direction depends on how he wants it to feel, if he wants it more storm like and this heavy windlesss rain then it would look like that, but if he wants it just to be rain and being blown then you would have it diagonally.

  12. OMG... I have seen the Tails in Sonic 1 hack but not as polished as this. Now all you need is to add Knuckles... But I can't wait to play the next release.
  13. It was actually only the ice bg since I was testing it for blood to fly when they are hit, and the blood disapears on black, but it was taken out and I forgot the bg was there, this is just testing stuff not a zone or anything.
  14. I am turning my sonic fan game's engine that I have been working on into a original game. So working out the killing of enemies. Since its from the engine it has Sonic. If you slide into them you knock them back, so thats how they land in lava.
