S0LV0 Posted April 13, 2013 Report Share Posted April 13, 2013 As very large and dedicated fans of Sonic Before/After the Sequel's music team, I and Shirojyuu are recreating every track of BtS in nostalgiac Genesis/MegaDrive format. It's designed partly for novelty and partly to give experience to both of us in transcribing and mixing.That said, it might be obvious that there are a number of inconsistencies in the tracks so far. Many tracks are quieter than others (mostly mine), some transcriptions are not as accurate as they could be, and in places the instrument choice can be questionable. Both of us are trying to push away from using the Ultimate Genesis Soundfont and start using VOPM more instead, especially in this project. Assuming we're able to release the project as a full album when it's finished, all of these issues should be ironed out in said release. Either way, we also intend to update the SoundCloud versions once we've touched up the issues in mixing, transcription, and instruments.
