  1. I've sent you and Sir Euan some feedback via a private message on the S2b forums Taxman, just to let you know.
  2. So I take it that it is true afterall and that Euan's sig isn't just a joke? Excellent. With your musical talents Tweaker the project will only get even better. I'm still compiling a feedback document with some videos and screenshots, so I'll take this development into account.
  3. So are you seriously combining your efforts with Taxman, Euan? If so, this is the best news I could have hoped for from Sage. With your combined talents and with Taxman's extensive engine and development kit to support the project, development would be far more productive and efficient and the results, phenomenal.
  4. You're probably right, I'm just throwing out some suggestions!
  5. Check that you have Windows Service Pack 2 and Direct X 9.0c installed, then install the Microsoft ".NET Framework" v3.0. You can download it from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=10cc340b-f857-4a14-83f5-25634c3bf043&displaylang=en or here: http://files.filefront.com/dotnetfx3setupexe/;7425198;/fileinfo.html Let us know if that does or doesn't work.
  6. Any folder all the files are in should be fine. Which operating system are you using?
  7. Without a doubt, this truly is the best Sonic the Hedgehog fangame ever made. What sets Retro Sonic far above other fangames is principally the Level Development Kit. When you look at the Emerald Hill Zone that Taxman has ported, you can see for yourself just how powerful it really is. The physics are also the best I have ever seen in any Sonic fangame. They are not quite perfect yet - but without a doubt the physics are far, far better than any Sonic fangame I've ever played that aims to recreate gameplay from the original Sonic games. The fact that Knuckles and Tails are both playable (with all their moves) is also something that makes Retro Sonic stand above others. Given that Retro Sonic is currently - by far - the most polished Sonic engine, it is my sincere hope that this game engine becomes the impulse that inspires Sonic gamers and fangame creators alike to break free from the inhibitions of lesser engines and limitations of rom hacking. Like many others, I anticipate that the release of the Level Development Kit and Online Multiplayer will be catalyst to this. I'm going to produce some constructive suggestions with some comparison video footage and labelled screenshots quite soon to aid the Retro Sonic project. Thank you for your efforts over the last 5+ years Taxman.
