  1. Where's the replace option? I can't find it. What do you mean by "find PlayerSkin_Sonic on top"?
  2. Can you explain what is the replace function? It doesn't really need to be detailed. Just tell me what you know.
  3. Thanks. I a now play, but why can't I choose Sonic? And why do you have an event for the boss' music, but there is no boss? I still don't know what Aylingling meant to say. Even if it means that I can just copy-paste the events and the objects into my game, and they'll have my edited sprites? I'm sorry, he just wasn't clear enough.
  4. Oh no! I can't enter it. It gives an error. Anyway, my question is: even if there's a new version, how will the ones who are making a game in the 1st version of Worlds (like me), are gonna update their game through the new version? Excuse me, what does that mean exactly?
  5. Hi. I decided to make my game over the Sonic Worlds engine. I've realized that trying to make an engine from scratch, would take me a lot of energy to make the level design. So now, I have a problem. Since the engine is not finished, I've been thinking if I really should start replacing the sprites in the beta version. When the finished version comes, I'm afraid I'll have to replace them again, if I want my engine to work better. New characters, new gimmicks, some changes may be made (some group events may change place, or may change name),... So I'm wandering how will I adapt my game for engine improvement, if I don't have all the stuff. I'll eventually change Sonic's speed or something, and if I want to use the best version there is, I'm afraid I'd have to start all over again, and make the same changes I already made. I tried to see f I should use "AidForblaze", since it has some new gimmicks, but I was wondering that maybe that one is a bit messed up, and it would be harder to work there. Bottom line, what I was asking for was to learn how to, maybe if it's possible, pass my changes to the engine directly to the finished version of the engine when it's done. I don't know what you can do for me, but I wanted to say this. Or is there a way to guarantee that the group events won't change name or place, and all I have to do will be adding the new stuff to the beta version. O f course I'll have to maintain the name of the objects. I'll appreciate any word of advice. And sorry for being such a newbie.
  6. Thanks for your help. I'll use Worlds. I'm sure I'll learn something when trying to change some events according to my preferences.
  7. OK, thanks a lot. Right now, I'll see if I can just use Sonic Worlds to make my game, and will try to find the right triggers and events to build and edit it as needed. The reason why I don't quite understand tutorials is that I'm already using (or trying) other events, and switching them with new ones could change my already established settings. Or I could not know what exactly to replace, and that would eliminate the established controls. And since I'm a newbie... But I'll try to learn more stuff through Worlds, while I replace the sprites, and ask some things in the Sonic Worlds forum.
  8. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I also think that using Worlds now may give me more experience for the future. I'll keep thinking about it. It's not that I can't understand even with the help of tutorials. The thing is that being disoriented, and afraid of messing up more than already is and not understanding some terms like "slopes" or "strings" (for example), makes me feel kinda lazy, but not intended. Lazy or bored, wanting to make sprites instead. The way to be able to ask questions about Sonic Worlds is making a topic about my question in the Sonic Words sub-forum (we enter the Sonic Worlds link, and we find lots of topics, most of them with doubts)? Is that the place qhere I can ask things about the engine? And what about what Spike has been saying? The risk of getting banned?
  9. I see people asking help about the Worlds engine. Like character selection. What's so wrong about it? And I'm not talking about asking for help in two engines. I'm trying to decide, if I use Worlds or not.
  10. OK. I'm also concerned about one thing. I may want to change a few things to make them more comfortable to me, like Sonic's acceleration, or background method. What if I don't exactly know how to change something? May I ask? I've looked around Worlds, and I always get confused about what does exactly what. And Sonic Worlds has Sonic's animations too far away from Sonic's movements. EDIT: I'll continue to think if I use Worlds, or make the engine from scratch. Either way, thanks for the tutorial, LarkSS. Now, if I decide not to use Worlds, I don't think I really want to make it from scratch. I may make it really from scratch (I see something here, and I copy it to my game), or I just copy-paste some things. One thing is for sure. I have good creative ideas I'd like to show, and even if I don't get credit for the engine, the backgrounds or the sprites (the ones I customize) will be what I really want to be credited for. I'll be measuring the tow sides. And thanks again for the tutorial, LarkSS. It may even help me to understand some other things.
  11. Do I need to know anything to avoid violating copyrights? Anyway, I'm still looking at LarkSS's tutorial.
  12. Do you guys think I should quit from doing the engine from scratch, and should start using Sonic Worlds, replacing the sprites by my own, like I see some people doing in the screenshots thread topic? They're focusing mostly in the creative part. Thanks for the tutorial, anyway. I'll try not to be too cautious, and start exploring the stuff myself. And I'm not being lazy. I'm just getting bored with the lack of knowledge to make a fangame. But then again, I'm bored with everything about this right now. I don't know if I should make the cutscenes in Flash or MMF2, or if I should just put them in comic book style. As well as I don't know if I should just try to make the engine from scratch, or use Sonic Worlds. Sprites are the only thing I've been making right lately. About using Sonic Worlds or making the engine from scratch, I'm afraid I don't know what I'm doing around Worlds, and I end up in a bottomless pit, where I don't know what does what. I'd just be changing the sprites... I have the hope of starting to understand the Worlds engine as soon as I start trying to add new characters to it, or a level end, or something. What do you think? EDIT: Thanks for the tutorial, LarkSS. I'm looking at it right now. I just hope I learn something.
  13. Just for the heck of it, could someone explain to me the theory of making the character look up and down with the animations and all? I've taken a look at the program, and it's kinda hard to understand. I think I need someone to assist me on this... And in case anyone can help me, I feel the need of having some kind of guide. I always worked very well with them. It's easier to understand them, than just looking at the engine's events, you know? A guide of how to make a Sonic game with several programs, MMF2 in my case. One that teaches us the basics, and then tells us how to upgrade. But needs to be understanding for everyone. I'm very rookie, so I'd need one. Now there needs to be someone wiling to make one.
  14. I'm mostly concerned about the commands. I literally can't make the character look up or down. It's not just a camera issue. When I press up or down, the character just goes back to the first frame of the stopped animation. I must remember you that I'm using actions (like in Sonic Worlds), and so, i must use them when I'm going to create a command for the character. I think.
  15. It seems that I can't open it. It must be lack of extensions. Anyway, I don't think it works very well. I might as well go with Sonic Worlds. But thanks. Oops! I can't find it. It's not where you say it is. Maybe we have different versions. Can you at least describe it for me? Events, objects...
  16. Which tutorial really teaches how to make this? At least, intendedly? I'm studying Sonic Worlds, but it's too complex to adapt to my game.
  17. Hi. I'm using MMF2 and I wanted to know how to make Sonic look up and making the camera move up, and how to make him look down and make the camera move down. If anyone can help me, I'll appreciate it. And btw, I'm using actions. (jumping -1; rolling - 2, and so on)
  18. Yes, it's a prototype. What I mean with the "zzzzz" I mean we hear that in the beginning. On the mix is "alltogether".
  19. Dreams of an Absolution has a "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" on the mix. And His World is a prototype version, which I already know. It's not the actual instrumental version.
  20. Is it? I'll first see if I can edit them myself. If I can't I'll ask you. OK? Thanks for your help. I guess I'll try them all, then. Thanks for your answers.
  21. Sorry, I can't find anything. There's too many of them, I can't find the right one. And besides, I don't want to use stuff that needs to be deleted within 24 hours. I better do them myself. But thanks anyway. If anyone here knows what's the best program to edit audio files (the one that works better), please tell. Tell me which of the ones ClassicSonicRules linked me to is better, if you know. Thanks in advance.
  22. OK, thanks for helping. And, by your nickname, I agree with you. Classic Sonic is really the best.
  23. OK, thanks. What's the plugin for? Is it an audio editor as well?
  24. Nothing here... Software Vocal Remover? I didn't even know there were such thing. Thanks. I'll look around.
