  1. Tails. If you wanna beat special stage, you must be tails and must be alone. If you aren't you may aswell not try. The special stages are from hell. If you thought Sonic 4 Ep 2 stage 7 was hard then the sadistic satanic special stages of SRB2 will KILL YOU. We are all excited for the new special stages. They mean we will be able to beat the game as Sonic. That's the biggest problem, if you aren't Sonic and aren't alone you can't even go Super with the Emeralds, so Super Sonic is near impossible. With these new stages, you will actually have a chance. Woo!
  2. The team recently announced that they were not dead after rumours spread across the forums speculating that they had left the project. Once again, this can all be found at their website. So no, the project is not dead. They've been taking in fan complaints and doing their best to fix them, such as changing the special stages. If I remember correctly, the new special stages play like NiGHTS into dreams for SEGA Saturn.
  3. Sonic Robo blast is a Sonic fangame that originated in 1998. The game is based on a modified version of Doom Legacy and heavily inspired by the Classic Sonic games, and it plays similarly to one. The project is still being made to this day and is still incomplete, but the story and game elements are finished, so the game is full and completely playable. Being based on the Doom engine, the game is very customisable and level packs and character packs are downloadable for the game for free, making this a very open and custom content is relatively easy to use. The game is completely 3D, with it's own story, gameplay style, levels and gimmicks Also, the game is available on the Wii, but the Wii version is inferior as it has a lower framerate due to the Wii's weaker processor and lacks decent multiplayer, but multiplayer is still possible. For a full review, click below. (Don't judge it harshly, I've never made on before) If you want to play the game, you can find it here: https://www.srb2.org/ The game is free to play, so don't worry about that. If you wan't to try it out, I highly recommend it. Have you already played the game and have any memories you want to share? Perhaps you want to leave your own opinions on the game? Considering playing it but still on the fence? Tell us below! [Edit] I have added a small amount to the review, I felt I didn't go into enough detail on the controls, graphics or programming.
  4. Agreed. The art style from Sonic riders was incredibly good. This also rocks. The way Classic Sonic looks in this picture is just brilliant. The JP version of the cover is similar, but with the white borders it's just not as awesome. Finally, i really liked Sonic X's style. I don't know why, I just love how that show looked. The show was okay~ish (except the music. That made me cringe), but the art style was awesome. And everyone LOVES Chris Thorndyke. right? right?
  5. Ban all for not being as awesome as me.
  6. Mine would be Sonic 1. Ahhhh, Sonic 1... How i love thee When we were kids, we would ALWAYS watch my dad beat Sonic 1. I don't know what it was about it, but me, my brother and sisters would all sit around watching my Dad play Sonic 1, and man do I love it. There is no Sonic game I have played so often, besides maybe Sonic Heroes. I know my sisters and Mum have an attachment to Sonic 1 for the GameGear, and although I like it I never got any attachment to it, they used to play it more than me, and it was too difficult for my child brain to comprehend. Waaaayyy too difficult. Heroes is always on my list. As a older child, Heroes was my first 3D Sonic game, and I love it for what it is, and it still is I currently have 2 copies of heroes, 1 for PS2 and 1 for GC (the PS2 is my childhood copy, the GC is the update I made later on), both of which are in my GC and PS2 respectively. My Second 3D game was ShTH. No attachment there....
  7. usually, I would just go "Utter bullc**p! SEGA wouldn't risk defiling the most popular 2 games in Sonic's 3D career!" but, with the lowering popularity of the two adventure titles, they wouldn't have to worry about that. However, I still think this is wrong. 1, with modern gameplay, why make the game the sequel to a game that used the Classic 3D formula? Also, with most people thinking SA2 is overrated and just generally bad, why would they make a sequel to it? With Sonic 2006, the gameplay was still popular, but dear lord, that game was the last nail in the coffin for the franchise at the time, so the series needed a mild reboot, Unleashed. Now we have a new gameplay style, why would we make a connection to the old days? Sega will almost Definitely treat it as if the "Dreamcast" era never happened, if they know what's good for the franchise. A re-release every now and then, but nothing more. We won't be getting any franchise continuations. Unless they get bored, then we might end up with "Shadow the hedgehog 2" yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. (oddly enough, the idea of ShTH2 intrigues me, but that's for another time)
